Just off the boat from a tour with Dusty. He was humorous and knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna in the area. We had lots of fun on airboat tour with Captain Dusty! Despite very hot weather and gators mostly chilling in the water, he managed to locate them. It was really impressive! Had a wonderful time on the two hour tour. Our guide was amazing in his knowledge of the area and the wildlife. He knew where the alligators live and went specifically to those areas. He identified all the wildlife we saw and even had some jokes to add to the fun. An experience like no other. Highly recommend for a truly professional, safe, and fun time for the whole family.

Had the most amazing private airboat tour today with my family for my partners birthday. Dusty was very informative telling us about the birds and finding all of the gators for us to see. Being that close to so many gators was amazing and gave me the chance to take some close up photos. My 5 year old loved flying through the water and doing donuts! Dusty was an incredible tour guide/ captain. He was extremely knowledgeable in all the different animals that we saw during our boat ride. This tour was a BLAST! My family definitely would recommend doing this small, more intimate tour over one of those "Cattle Barge" tours where they pack 20-30 people on one boat. Captain Dusty was a perfect host for our day on the river... knowledgeable, professional and at the same time very entertaining!We saw plenty of Gators, Turtles, Birds, Cattle and even one handsome Donkey... Dusty was quick to point out stuff that our untrained eyes didn't spot right away.All-in-all it was well worth the time to get out on the water and explore nature. Thanks for a fun ride!

Captain Dusty was a blast and was knowledgable about the area, wildlife and waterway. The boat was clean, safe and Dusty was funny. We were looking to go on an airboat tour while we were in Florida visiting family. After a bit of research we found Central Florida Airboat and booked our tour. We wanted to go earlier in the morning and the 9am slot worked perfectly for us. Captain Dusty met us at the dock and from the moment we stepped foot on the boat we knew we made the right choice! Dusty provided us with ear protection with headsets so that we would be able to not only hear him but each other as well. Dusty was highly knowledgeable about the wildlife we encountered. We saw baby and adult alligators, cows and hundreds of birds of a variety in of species. We even had to get the cows we encountered to MOOve. Dusty had us laughing the whole time with his jokes and showed us a good time on both land and water. Don’t hesitate, book your trip now! You’ll be glad you did!

Great trip and Dusty the boat driver was excellent, very smooth ride and lots of gators and birds. He is very knowledgeable of the wild life and gets you up close to them to see but respectful of them. Very safe ride and nice clean boat, having 2 way headsets is very helpful. This tour was awesome! We saw so many alligators, fish, and birds. Dusty, our guide, knew the names of all the different kinds of birds and was very helpful. The baby alligators were adorable! We just visited in April and that baby Gators were about 3 months old born in December, And we went to a small pond where there must have been a whole ton of little babies. We also went to another small area and saw a big alligator eat a live tilapia! We want to another area where the water was getting low so there must have been thousands of birds all in the area, and as soon as we approached it was amazing to see so many birds flying around us. Dusty's boat is great because the second row is also tiered so you can see everything well. It gets a bit breezy so I'm glad I brought a windbreaker. You can't wear hats though because you're going, so fast that the wind would blow the hat off to make sure you repair with sunscreen. You get to wear headphones with microphones, so you can hear each other speaking. It's nice because you also stay dry so you don't have to worry about water coming in the boat because you're above water the entire time.Afterwards we went across the street to have snacks of gator catfish and frog legs.This is a one of a kind experience and I highly recommend it.

We had the most perfect morning out on the river with Dusty! He was very knowledgeable about the habitat and wildlife and also provided some witty commentary. Had a great time on our airboat tour! Our guide (Captain Dusty) gave us so much information on gators, cows, birds, and foliage in the area during our ride and was able to answer all of our questions. He even gave us a great recommendation for food/drinks around the area and remembered my in-laws who had just been on with other family a few weeks ago. Place is right off the road. Dusty was waiting for us at the dock and he was a great guide. Was educational and funny and respected the wildlife but got you plenty close to the gators.Two way headsets are cool so you can all talk to each other. Great museum for the military machine enthusiast. My 14 year old son and I visited this morning and the planes that are on display are very well preserved/maintained. These are on par with some of the bigger museums we have visited. You can tell they really care about the machines in their care. They have some real unique pieces with very interesting stories attached. Our tour guide, Curtis was great. He was very patient with my son who is a big military plane buff, so he had lots of anecdotes to share. There are a couple different air conditioned museum areas with lots of military memorabilia and artifacts on display. The gift shop is small but nice and they have lots of different t-shirts and models available for purchase. If we are back in the area again, we will probably come back for another visit with the rest of the family. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Can’t express how cool this place is! If you’re in the area, I recommend spending at least an hour here. They have self-guided tours or volunteer led tours but they’re not overbearing about it. You do need a guide to get into the B52 cockpit (a must do experience!) but there was one near by so it wasn’t an issue. The hangers are huge and filled with many cool planes from WWI and through Vietnam and beyond.Don’t pass this place up!

Extraordinary. An absolute must if you've any interest at all in aviation. Stupidly, we ignored the signs for this place and headed instead for the Kennedy Space Centre. Two fairly disappointing hours later, we exited Kennedy and headed straight here. We were met with very reasonable entry fees and a hugely knowledgeable, complimentary guided tour (thanks so much Allen/Alan). Wow. Just wow. Next time over the pond, we'll have a whole day here and still won't see everything. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Incredible museum! Wear comfy shoes and set aside a large block of time. You can have a guided tour which lasts about 3 hours and I guarantee there's going to be some stuff you want to double back and see.The staff is all incredibly friendly and the guides have tons of knowledge and information. It's well worth the drive and admission price.

We had a wonderful morning at the Warbird Air Museum. Our tour guide (Gordon) was great. My sons & I are very interested in military history & specifically Aviation. So, this was right up our alley!!!!

Took my teenage sons here and we were all fascinated! John was s great tour guide! He is a veteran who was a fighter jet pilot in the Vietnam War. He had so many great, and exciting stories about missions he flew. And you felt like there wasn’t any detail he didn’t know about the aircraft on display. So glad we decided to stop here on a rainy afternoon!

Had a fantastic time checking out the Warbirds exhibits today. Ex Navy pilot Roger was so kind with his time to explain aircraft evolution & aircraft carrier operations along with his personal life experience.Would recommend to all, never forget the brave aviators that fought in these aircraft to our freedoms of today. One of our familys favorite places to visit. The whole family loves the history and seeing the historic aircraft. I have visited this museum my whole life and have seen it grow through the years. The only flying twin mustang is here, and a once in a lifetime must see. Make sure to go to one of the airshows !!

While in town on business I stopped by the museum and was completely amazed by the amount of artifacts and planes on display. The staff greet you warmly and are very friendly. Completely versed on any of the items on display and are happy to share a story about what they know of the history behind the planes. My age group would be drawn to the Beautiful F-14 Tomcat in the hangar. What an amazing aircraft. It’s much larger than what you see in the movies. Many WW1 and WW2 era planes to see. As well as Vietnam era. There is even an opportunity to see where they rehabilitate these gorgeous aircraft. A few helicopters and the ramp has larger planes parked outside the hangar. So many things to see. Be sure and plan to spend the afternoon or the day. And buy a cool shirt in the gift shop. It all helps to keep the facility open. A special thank you to the volunteers who continue to serve our country 🇺🇸. Enjoy

Beautiful museum with a host of planes from many eras, WW1-Vietnam. Lots of memorabilia, mannequins in uniform, and a gift shop. A wonderful treasure trove of US Military Aviation history. Definitely check it out! (If not for the C-47 alone!)

Great not very well publicized aircraft museum. 2 hangars full of planes from WWI on. Tour guys are volunteer retired military. They give free tours and are very enthusiastic about sharing their love of aviation. It’s definitely worth stopping by for a visit. Would highly recommend. Hangars are not air conditioned so be prepared to be hot.

A definite must-see for anyone who loves aviation, military history or dreams of becoming a pilot. Tons of great planes in excellent shape and a few you can go inside which was a blast from the past for sure and really cool to see. There's also a flight simulator and tons of great pieces of vintage history in various museum-like settings throughout, as well as very friendly tour guides and a gift shop. Definitely worth the trip and cost.

Genuinely the greatest museum I have ever been to. I was able to walk up and under every single aircraft here, and I was able to chat with a F-105 pilot who flew in Vietnam (His name was John, incredible man). For the price you CANNOT beat this place. Absolutely lovely staff and extremely clean hangers.PS: You might notice I added 22 photos. This is only a select few because there were so many birds.

Very Good museum with a nice collection of Warbirds. We spend about 2 1/2 hours. Volunteers share information about the planes and allow access into some restricted plane areas. Knocked off a star because the signage is not compete or missing in some cases.

Really nice museum with aircraft lined up outdoors and inside two hangars. There is a gift shop that has interesting items on sale. Best of all are the volunteer staff who are some of the best with their help and knowledge.

Made my way to the location. Got lured in by its proximity to JFKSC and the outstanding sign out on the main road. I got there at 1715 hours, and there was one little truck parked in the lot. I got out and walked to the fence line to see what I could see. I then walked to the front door to see what I could see. Could not see much. I knocked a few times and got no response. I left. Looks like a good place for USAF, Army Air Force, or Navy personnel to reminisce at. Airborne! A 3 our of 5 is not a bad rating, in my opinion.

This was an amazing time for the family. We had a personal tour guide, and they were so great with the kids. Watching all the volunteers, mainly veterans, spending their time restoring these aircraft to their operational state. They have a flight simulator that is state of the art with an instructor.Definitely check this place out it is a hidden gem worth the time to see!!!!

Super cool museum! Lots of information about the planes and vehicles they have on display. You can learn a lot in a short amount of time. I was running a little late for my flight and had a couple hours to kill here and it was totally worth the price of admission just to talk to some of the knowledgeable staff and read about the interesting type of plans that they have.

Incredible artifacts from ww2, Korean conflict and Vietnam. Many excellent displays of model planes, uniforms, weapons. And fully restored planes and jets. They are being refurbished on the spot. One can touch many of the planes, helicopters, and vehicals. Fly ins by local plane owners. Book store and souvenir shop. Sat. Morning breakfast included with entrance fee, once a month. Well worth visiting. Take your time , much to see.

A really neat museum! They had a whole bunch of memorabilia throughout the 20th century wars, A couple WW2 aircraft on display, a ton throughout the whole Cold War/Vietnam/Korea era, and a couple modern jets.Also had a bunch of engines on display including a Wasp Major, which was pretty neat to see.Definitely worth a visit! They even have a little viewing area for their restoration work.

Stopped in after visiting the Kennedy space center. It looked small on the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by how many aircraft they have in the hangars and out on the ramp. Very cool collection!! I highly recommend checking it out!

If you love, appreciate and value the history of our military, service members and our amazingly beautiful military aircrafts...THIS is a museum you shouldn't pass up!! We spent a couple hours here looking at and learning about the different fighter jets and military planes the museum has on display. We were approached by a volunteer named Mark who told us if we had any questions, just let him know. Well...we ended up staying with Mark as our personal, and extremely knowledgeable, tour guide for the next hour. Mark was amazing!! We learned so, so much from him. Got to sit in the cockpit of a B52 which was mind blowing! This museum is a must see if you're in the area! Ask for Mark, you won't be sorry!!

Definitely one of the best air museums we’ve ever been to! So much variety of planes and everything is so well kept and restored it feels like you’re back in time. Our toddler loves airplanes and had an amazing time walking around and checking out everything! Staff here is also super nice and welcoming. Would highly recommend making the drive and visiting VAC!

The F14 from the original topgun, flight of the intruder, MASH, We were soldiers, and Midway - the hellcat and dauntless airplanes and many more.Seeing them in person really put these movies into context for me. Being in law enforcement in Canada I really loved seeing all the American law enforcement historical items, uniforms, vehicles and so much more. The front desk agent was so kind, welcoming and awesome. The displays are expansive with lots of good content. They have pretty much every service patch you can imagine. It’s a very affordable museum to visit. There are activities for kids and a dress up corner. There is a lot of sadness on the left side of the museum - remembering fallen officers is extremely important but defiantly leaves you sad if you end there. The middle memorial is absolutely stunning but again sad that there are so many names on the memorial walls. Worth a visit.

This was a hidden gem we discovered while driving around. The place is very interesting. I could have spent hours looking around. They have a really nice area catered to children, a beautiful memorial, and everything in between. I really liked seeing the historical weapons and criminal tools. This is a must visit for everyone.

Awesome place and very informative and has a beautiful memorial to all fallen police officers in the USA on a ongoing granite wall. Very clean and so interesting with wonderful memorabilia of police vehicles, clothing. Guns, tools etc.

Never knew there was such a place like this out there. We drove all the way from Central FL to check this place out and it did not disappoint at all!! So much history in there that you can get lost in there for hours! It looks small from the outside, but the way it is laid out helps you get the best of everything. Also, the memorial for 9/11 is extremely gut wrenching 🥺

Great museum with plenty of interactive exhibitions and friendly staff. They have a shooting range but as a British tourist you will need to bring your passport to use it. On principle, museums should be pay as you wish like most others outside the US - $15 entry fee per person and no cafe.

Very nice museum, showing the history of the American Police Officer. Very nice center tribute to all of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice. The gentleman at the front was very welcoming and stopped by on our walk through to see if we had questions and check in on our experience.

This museum went well above my expectations. There’s a little something for every interest; a Western section complete with stocks, old weapons, a tramp chair that you can sit in, a mob section that has old news clippings etc. For the little ones; An area for puppet shows, a place to make your own badge, even a dress up corner.My personal favorite was the investigation section! They have a computer set up with digital composite software that was a lot of fun, an area to compare footprints and dna. The interactive exhibits were so unique, a gas chamber, electric chair, a mock prison cell. Very cool! We ended our visit by going into the memorial in the middle which honors all the fallen officers since 1960. Sobering experience!Admission is reasonable, everything is clean and very well cared for, the staff is fantastic. We spent over two hours there!

🌳🌲Trails, Nature, Animals, and More!🌳🌲The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary provides a variety of terrain and trails for all types of walkers. There are paths that lead through sand, are paved with concrete, lead into wooden planks over streams and foliage, and that cut through brush deep into the woods. Trials vary in length as well, whether you want to walk half a mile, or multiple miles. Many of the trails are covered by trees, so walking them even in the afternoon isn't a problem. Easy-to-follow trails are delegated by signposts.I often encounter wildlife when I walk here, such as boars, snakes, turtles, rabbits, and armadillos. There are also many beautiful places for photography. I have included a few photos for your enjoyment.The welcome center includes a giftshop and some interactive exhibits that kiddos will enjoy. There's a little something for everyone in the family here if you love being outdoors in nature.

Traveling through the tropical rainforest, it may be too hot at noon. I only saw a big turtle. Although there are several turtle holes, they can‘t see it. Of course, it is possible that they go out to play.

This is a gorgeous natural space in the middle of a bustling town. It felt as wild as being in a remote jungle. The natural landscape is inhabited by many birds and I even saw some piglets wandering about. Make sure to stay on all the trails and carry for your water and insect repellent. It’s so beautiful here and the staff who operate it are welcoming and knowledgeable. They will tell you all the great spots to see.

If you love nature, you’ll love this place; it’s very serene. It’s free to visit, has several beautiful trails with lots of shade and other things to do. Just remember; no restrooms on the trails. Definitely a must if visiting Titusville.

A free trail open Tues to Friday. It's a little over 3 miles with all the connected trails that are looped together. Easy trails with some shade that are well mapped out. There are lots of benches around for you to take breaks if needed. Family friendly as well. Enjoy it early in the morning before it gets too hot.

Incredibly peaceful and beautiful! I must say it is a very thoughtful park. Kind volunteers greet you upon arrival. Once you sign in grab a map and your ready to go! They even let you borrow their laminated informative Field Guides to help you along the way (please return them when done...for others). All trails are marked well and the maps tell you length of each one. Great way to decide which way you go! Like I said, thoughtful. We even ran into a gopher tortoise on Tortoise Trail! Perfection!

Explore gorgeous natural Florida at this beautiful sanctuary!There is a lot of seating for picnics, a screened in enclosure for functions and an outdoor stage with benches for the audience!With a butterfly garden, lovely trails to walk and an informative welcome center it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!The staff is helpful and there are also a few Geocaches to be discovered!

Amazing place, really enchanted.We didn't do the whole trail, but the walk we did was amazing. Nice volunteer welcoming and guiding visitors. The learning center was amazing for our kids, and they played some nature games and watched through the microscope.Nice place.

It’s a beautiful place. So much to see and do. The hiking trails are well maintained and have shade for hot days. Beautiful native butterfly garden.

An enchanting hidden gem on the Space Coast! Miles of hiking (by FLA standards)/walking (by almost any other measure) trails through several different FLA biomes, including a very well-marked 5K, if you want to get in a trail run! A mix of surfaces: hard packed sand covered with leaf litter and/or pine needles, loose sand (esp on the Ridge Trail), exposed roots, boardwalks, and even mud (esp after some rain). There is even a short (0.1 mi) ADA-appoved trail. There is also a small (but excellent) visitors center, a reflection pond, a picnic area, an amphitheater, and a butterfly garden. And, as if to prove that the best things in life are still free, there is no charge for visiting the Enchanted Forest! Go outside and play!

CLOSED ON MONDAY.I can't give five stars because I was only there an hour but that hour was terrific. I was there during midday so can't comment on the birding, but appears to have potential. Beautiful trails! You can see the gopher tortoise up close and personal. But don't pet the tortoise because they have a strong beak. Cheers.

I went to the Enchanted forest after my plans for Kayaking fell through.The visitor center was clean and organized, parking was not difficult to find, and there was abundant signage with details about the trails and information.In regards to the trails, I went on the Biodiversity Loop which is about .7 miles.The trail was clearly identified and at trail junctions it was easy to identify the other trails.It's probably been at least 15 years since I visited the Enchanted Forest previously and after today's visit, I feel I have been neglecting one of Titusville's nicest outdoor attractions.They have a to trail marked out that I will definitely be running through in the future.Overall, the facility and trails are great and I would recommend if you are traveling through the area or are a Titusville local.

Took my grandson for a mini hike, and it was beautiful. I highly recommend Enchanted Forest for a family hike and nature trail.

I had two wild hogs cross my path on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Good hiking trails. This park is completely free of any charges. See a lot of gopher turtles, ring necked snakes, they're completely harmless, usually during the early afternoons. You will sometimes lose cell phone service in certain areas. Very peaceful and educational concerning Florida's natural state and ecosystems. Glad this park is doing their part in protecting a natural piece of Florida. They do not allow pets. Bring your own drinking water.

Was more beautiful 20 years ago but is more natural now. Needs the water in the roof to run of to the other side or be carried over for now. Good place to go for a walk. Careful with donations the gift shop was/is basically stealing them just like other donation places.

We LOVE this place! There's an indoor educational area with lots for the kids to explore and so many cool trails! There's even a sidewalk trail for wheelchairs or strollers. The foliage is truly enchanted!

Great place for a hike. Lots of trails and beautiful scenery.

This is a walking trail you would never expect! You walk through well maintained walking paths through forest, wet lands, and dry lands all in the same 5k loop! You can also follow the well labeled walking signs to do the whole 5k or a shorter sprint depending on how you feel! The center, bathrooms, "Porch", small ceremony area, and butterfly garden is neat to visit as well. You are guaranteed to see some gopher tortoises at your visit!

I love walking here. Nature center with restrooms and information open to public. Lots of trails to walk. Pets not permitted.

The best sanctuary in the county! Never fails, always wonderfully upkept, and never a boring exploration! We love finding tracks, looking at creatures, and enjoying the most diverse hike. They have different biospheres, a variety of paths and trails each with their own experience, and the highest point of elevation in the county. Also make sure to stop inside the building it is amazing all they have in there! Adults or families make sure to stop here! Thank you to all the amazing staff and volunteers, we are so lucky to have this sanctuary!

This is a hidden gem. A relaxed, educational and fun time with a cool take off spot. The store has cool swag and a gator picture. It's Florida at it's best. Good people, good time and easy to book.

Great time for our family of six! Kids where 17-15-11-7 if your wondering about it. Weather was perfect; we went at 9:30am and we saw a lot of gators and other wild life! Our captain was great/fun and very informative. We were also able to get the pic at the end with the gator which is what my son was looking forward to ;). I had search through a bunch of tours and have never been to another. I would definitely do it again!

Amazing experience with an awesome airboat captain. Way better than any 60 second amusement park ride. We saw loads of wildlife and had loads of fun skipping across the water with the wind in our faces. And of course we got to hold a baby alligator at the end. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Had an airboat tour with Captain Sammy, and what a great experience! She was funny, safe, full of knowledge, and made sure we all had a great time. We saw over 40 gators big & small, tons of wildlife, and a great trip. After we got to hold a baby gator and see some of the other animals they have on site. Money well spent and worth the drive as this was an unforgettable experience. Awesome job Captain Sammy!!

We had an amazing adventure with Midway. We had some friends in from out of town who wanted to see alligators. We saw so many gators, as well as beautiful birds and a magnificent landscape of marsh and cypress swamp. Our Captain Tony was so friendly and knowledgeable. We even were able to hold a small gator at the end of the tour. I will definitely use Midway again. Thanks!

TLDR: This tour is well worth the money. You will not be disappointed!My friend and I went on the one hour airboat tour, and we could not have had a more enjoyable time. I have been lucky enough to travel the world and see many areas, but this was by far one of the prettiest places I have ever been. There's so much to look at - gators, manatees, birds, and even cows. The water is so pretty, the trees are cool looking, and the guides are super knowledgeable and passionate about what they're doing. Our guide would stop and get us as close as possible to the gators (without causing them any distress) so we could take pictures. He did this throughout the tour if he saw something really interesting, unique, etc.As an added bonus, the building where you check in has different types of snakes, a huge pig (who loves belly scratches), birds, and more, which you can see and, depending on the animal, touch. There is also an area with multiple baby gators, and at the end of the tour you get to hold one of them and take a picture.

Believe the reviews! We had a trip planned to the Space Coast and decided to try an airboat ride before we headed back to the airport. I scoured local places and read the reviews and was sold on Midway. We had an amazing time - calm but fun, peaceful but exciting! Our captain, Justin, was a great guide, answered tons of questions, and made it a super chill experience. Come for the gators, stay for the pig, birds, cats… Highly recommend!

We had Captain Sami and she was AMAZING!!! My kiddos, although a tad chilly said later it was one of their favorite parts about our vacation. We saw cattle with their calf - gators - gorgeous views and tons of birds. Great experience and completely worth it, holding the baby alligator at the end was cool too.

We had THE BEST time at Midway! We spent 5 days in FL doing many excursions and everyone agreed that this was our favorite!! Our captain was fun, kind, and so knowledgeable! We absolutely loved this place. Our schedule changed and we ended up arriving 2 hours early, hoping to get out earlier. They made special accommodations for us and took such good care of us. My kids also loved all the animals while we waited for the ride and our tour guide was amazing. For sure one of the most memorable days of our trip. I’ll come back here every time we visit Orlando. Captain Sammi was the best! She had us out on the water for an hour and 15 minutes. The whole trip she was giving us fact after fact about everything we saw out on the water. We saw a lot of gators and birds, we had a bald eagle fly right over our heads it was incredible. At the end we got the chance to hold a 3 year old alligator it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend to anyone who loves nature.

The airboat ride was a lot of fun. We were able to see several alligators, including some very big ones. We also saw a lot of different birds including eagles. Captain Sammy was funny, informative and made it an awesome experience. We were a family of 8 which also included teenagers and grandparents and we all really enjoyed it. We also all liked holding the alligator. This was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it.

this place is AMAZING!! we are visting from CT and had a blast! captain justin was so informative and funny. we saw over 30 gators, lots of cows, birds and more! we were able to take pictures and learn so much about the animals! at the end you get to take a picture with a baby gator too, so cool!! 10/10 would go again and recommend:)

We came without a reservation but we were able to make it on the next boat with a group of 5. It was about 50$ per person, it may be cheaper to get tickets online ahead of time. Our guide was amazing and knew a lot about the area ! He was fun and we did the last tour of the evening. The views were beautiful and we would do a boat tour again for sure ! Captain Tony was awesome. We all had a great time. We saw alligators, different birds and even cows. I highly recommend it. You can take your phone and get lots of great pictures. They are still talking about that experience to this day.Now, regarding this particular trip… WOW!! The best I’ve taken to date and I’ve been up and down the W/E side of Florida riding Airboat tours. Never seen so many gators 🐊 in one ride. Justin, the Captain, was Amazing and so very knowledgeable and informative and pretty much had an answer for all the questions thrown at him. Take the trip there, you won’t regret it.

We had a great time! Our guide, TONY was the best! Lots to see, gators, cows grazing in the water up to their necks, herons, hawks, eagles, pink birds, black birds! Cypress swamp was beautiful! Airboat Rides at Midway is a great way to see wildlife in the Florida waters. One hour gives you enough time to see gators, cows and birds. The airboat itself is smooth and a fun ride for you and your family. The guide, Captain Justin, was super friendly and knowledgeable. You are given headsets to hear the captain who explains the area and lets you know what to see. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes boat rides and wildlife.

So beautiful, still a natural beach with no commercialism, clean beach, many animals to observe and the water is wonderful and so was a man we saw fishing's luck ! Thank you for keeping this jewel pure !!! And btw... You can get a pass good for 1 year that about equals the cost of 1 1/2 regular admissions and go visit as many times a week as you want ! Ain't no enjoyment or inspiration happening here.Visited this Canaveral National Seashore administrative office for a business transaction. Its sign stated that the hours were 8 to 4:30. Rang doorbell at the front door numerous times, but no one answered. Additionally, phone calls were unanswered. Finally, went to the back door, into the back foyer, and knocked. Finally, an employee came out and said business should be transacted at visitor centers. Zzzzz...

I called to get information on the beach if they were going to be open today. Since there was no reason for the beach to be closed on Sunday at 12 noon. So she put me on hold to connect me to someone else, and no one picked up the phone so basically she put me on hold. I thought that was a bit rude.

The staff here was very pleasant and informative, it was clean and well maintained, very nice place.

A great day at the beach, even when the surf was rough.

It stinks having to pay to go to the beach, but if you are in Titusville, it is the only option.

This is a beautiful place to get back to nature.

Such a beautiful place! Lush greenery and a few pretty flowers peeking through as well. Awesome shaded cool boardwalk and great little benches to sit and watch the waters. Frogs, birds, and insects making great noises too! Cute little gift shop inside as well as many educational panels and faux environments to learn from. The workers are passionate and kind.

This is my God and Me place. Here you will get to see God beautiful creation. The migrating birds, maybe a wild pig, and keep a close eye for a alligator. This is the absolute best place to get away from everything

I kinda stumbled on this place while making my way to the national park. It's a great educational place, and a great place to get information on what to see and do. Make sure you stop by the information center and talk with the staff; they are so helpful and knowledgeable. Their help made my day!

This was a pretty great way to feel close to nature and yet not leave the car. There is plenty to see at the visitor center, and the guides are very helpful. We enjoyed the drive-through trail and also stopped at the Bairs Cove ramp, where we saw tons of manatees! Must see!!

What a beautiful place! There is plenty of free stuff to do and see but it's worth spending $10 to take the 7 mile drive thru the heart of the sanctuary. The variety of birds that you see is incredible. Loved it so much and will be back to visit again soon.

Beautiful! Very helpful volunteers at the visitors center, would recommend heading there first to get some tips for your visit and a map. You can pay the very reasonable $10 entry fee. Saw lots of wild life; gators manatees wild boar eagles and birds. Great walks and driving loops.

We stop here every time we are in the area. The Black Point wildlife drive is a must! We see so many birds! Spoonbills, Herons, Osprey, and Anhingas are all common sights. We always see a few gators and turtles as well! Be sure to stop by Haulover Canal to see the Manatees. They have a viewing platform where Manatees usually hang out. We have also seen dolphins swimming there as well. I highly recommend stopping by!

There are many boat ramps, several nice, easy trails and a lot of beautiful scenic drives. Unlike other part of Florida you will not see a lot of trash or have to deal with much traffic. INCREDIBLE are to watch rocket launches from the Kennedy Space Center.

I broke my fingers here but had the time of my life. Let me explain, this drive takes you on a road made from rocks/shells/dusty materials. Its a one way drive, with water directly next to the road basically the entire drive. You're going to see pockets of birds, ducks, gators, among other things on this drive. We saw so much! Bald eagles, herons, storks, spoonbills, you name it. I recommend driving fairly slow (say 10ish mph) to take it all in. Every so often you can pull to the side, let others pass, and grab some incredible photographs. Well, right on the end stretch of our journey today we came across the biggest gator of the day. I pulled to the side to attempt to get a picture and I guess the car was slanted in such a way that when I pushed the door open, it shut itself right on my fingers. 😂 it latched itself closed and everything with three fingers in the door! ouch. anyway, I still got out and took my photo and had a blast of a day. Don't squish your fingers and I promise you'll enjoy yourself. Drive safe y'all!

Fishing, Hiking Trails, Excellent place to kayak and ocean swimming! This place is Gorgeous! What old Florida used to look like! Also at beach 1 you get an excellent view of the NASA space launch pads!

What a great way to spend a day seeing Florida in its natural state. Spend the time driving the Black Point Trail is was spectacular. A bird watchers paradise. And if you like to see alligators in the wild we were fortunate enough to see dozens of them. The boardwalk trail at the visitors center is a nice easy hike and a beautiful lush tropical forest to stroll through.

Came here during peak birding season. Did not disappoint! Visitor center staff were kind and helpful.

Great little education center with a few interactive displays and a nice little gift shop. Awesome Florida nature based jewelry in the gift shop. Clean bathrooms but a bit dated and small. Boardwalk out back is being redone but there was a short part open. We saw lots of turtles and birds out there.

We visited in July '24. The area is really beautiful, and the manatee area was truly awesome. Heads up though, the mosquitoes are vicious.Was told by a visitor that the area across the water from the built platform was a much better viewing spot and he was absolute right. Go check that out.But the absolute highlight of the trip in was one of the employees working at the entrance building. Randy was an absolute delight. He gave us clear instructions on what we might see, where we should go, and it's clear he really loves the area. Stop in and get your advice from Randy, for sure!

A beautiful place to visit and see the wildlife! It is a bioluminescent season now and it’s amazing to see the water lighted up at your touch! We had a great experience on our boat!

It's pretty and peaceful but I was a bit disappointed. Perhaps it's because it's winter and too cold for the animals. If you visit, I would recommend going in the fall or spring. The road is super narrow too, making the ride not as pleasant.

Such a beautiful place. Many different birds and sites. This was the second time we came here. Each time was different sightings. We will definitely come back again. The visitors center gave us a map and a lots of information of highlights to area.

Great place to go for a swim! (That’s a joke. See gator photo. Don’t go swimming.)This is a beautiful and very accessible wildlife refuge. We saw a ton of wildlife. Drive slowly and keep an eye on the canals.

It was a great visit to this wonderful national wildlife management area. I would like to see them continue to address roadside concerns and lagoon management zones. The natural areas are starting to become more ecologically stable and less manipulated by humanity. The growth of the space ventures there is definitely having some impacts on the fire management of the area.

The Black Point Wildlife Drive is a must!! You encounter all kinds of interesting birds and we saw several alligators. Also, the employees at the visitor center are helpful and friendly!

Some of the best views and wildlife spectating ever! Manatee, alligators, king fisher, spoon bill, lots of sea creatures including snails, crabs, pufferfish, and comb jellies!

Excellent place to stop and get information about the area. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms. Stop by the visitor center for a map and ask were you can view the manatees ❤️

I am very pleased with this lovely place, worth the drive, food was fast and delicious, and there was a nice outside seating area with a bar under a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We had a little issue with one of our meals but the manager was SO Professional and went above and beyond to make it right. Very very good customer service 👏👏👏 for sure we will come back. Also the theater area was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the movie and customer service there too.

We had a lovely night with our friends celebrating Valentine's day. We aren't big on the whole Valentine's day thing but my wife is big into Jane Austen and there was a viewing of the 2005 Pride and Prejudice.The dinner was good, the staff was nice and we also enjoyed the outdoor bar.The Enzian is a staple of the Winter Park / Maitland area. If you've never been, it's worth checking out. I bet you'll want to go back many times.

This is a super cute location! I took my friend out here to watch bottoms and we left knowing we'd come back. When our waitress came she was super friendly, we started with the parm fries and 2 beers. When we were ready to order, we flagged someone down to take our order and he left to get our waitress. That never happened, which was very disappointing. The movie was super cute along with the vibe of the place. We will be returning but I recommend ordering your food immediately! (:

What a neat place for a date night! We both loved it! We started at Eden bar where I had the chicken salad, it was fresh and tasty. They also have daily specials on drinks. You can bring your food and drink into the theater since they share the same kitchen/bar. They are all kind of seating options, from comfy movie chairs to booth and table. The decor is so unique! Highly recommend it for a different movie experience.

I love this place so much! Such a cute theater to watch films at. I always feel comfortable here and their selection of films are so diverse. They also serve tea which is pretty badass.

The movie was good. Food was good. I had a problem with the way staff ignored us when we arrived. We were let into the movie area and told to wait for someone to seat us. 5 times someone walked within 3 feet of us and never once offered to help, 3 different people! Finally we stopped one and asked. We were told to find a seat. Found this to be absolutely horrible service, and started the evening off badly!The Movie, on David Bowie was very good. We ate apps, which were delivered quickly and were good too. Found the prices very reasonable.

Love the lush garden in the yard and vintage style of this independent theater. Volunteers and staff were friendly and helpful. I was here for the first time as some friend recommended the Florida Film Festival to me. They really put a lot of heart into the festival and I would highly recommend friends to come experience different vibes of movies.

This is a great spot for movies, especially if you want to sit on a comfy couch while being serve drinks and amazing popcorn. The selection varies often, and they are more likely to play cult classics or scarier movies, but there are new releases that will get played here as well! Only downside is there being a singular theatre, so whatever is playing that night is the only thing at that time. Regardless, the bar outside is a cozy spot, the food is delicious, and I love when they host showings of The Room, where the co-director will often show up and answer questions.

The Enzian Theatre is a hidden gem, nestled in a perfect natural setting that provided and enchanting experience enhances the overall ambiance. The quaint single theatre setup adds a touch of intimacy, creating a cozy atmosphere. The dining experience provided is sublime, allowing you to savor the food while enjoying the entertainment. The bar outside adds an extra layer of charm to the whole experience, making it a memorable outing for visitors. If you appreciate a unique blend of nature, entertainment, and dining, the Enzian Theatre is definitely worth a visit.

The theater screen and audio quality is nice. The theater floor and seats were not very clean. The food they serve is meh and the prices are extremely high for the portion size and quality you get. The movies they show here are unique which is great. The kitchen crew at one point were talking and laughing so loud I couldn't hear what the characters in the movie were saying. Decent place to go once or twice a year.

Best theater in the Orlando area to catch some weird and indie flicks. They're always showing something unique or interesting, in addition to hosting the fantastic Florida Film Festival. The Eden Bar outside serves up great drinks (can get pretty busy on weekends or right before showtime) and the food from the kitchen is surprisingly great for a theater.

The only reason I’m giving 4 & not 5 stars it’s because after the movie we decided to seat, drink and eat something outside, we sat by the fountain and the waitress service was very rude. She’s wouldn’t guide us thru the menu when we were trying to find the side dishes, she would say read the menu it’s on there.. :/ that was odd. Overall she was very unfriendly (I’m sure you would get a lot more tips if you just act friendlier). That’s just in case they care and want to improve. Everything else was great ♥️

Having good time Brunch! Boo! And a Movie, Too! Enzian is Nice place to have a is a single screen cinema café and home of the Florida Film Festival.

Where to begin? The Enzian is one of my favorite escapes. Surrounded by moss-draped oak trees is an arthouse film theater and café with a charming outdoor bar and cozy indoor seating. The lovely eats and drinks will make you feel *so* happy inside. This is the place to catch a movie or event outside of the norm. Film Festivals, cult classics, independent and foreign films, special events (Halloween Party 2019, I still miss you.) The chance of finding me there after reading this review is pretty darn good. Just save me a seat, please.

The service, the atmosphere, the vibes, the people... everything about this venue gives amazing date night, great happy hour, awesome night with friends.There's an aspect of the Enzian that feels like you are not in Florida, but some cozy, artsy, eclectic, warm, fun and magical town.In any case we caught a movie, Poor Things (GO SEE THIS MOVIE), had a few drinks from the Eden Bar (tasted great and very reasonably price), then entered the theater and ordered food to have while watching the movie.Everything was simply 5 stars!

My spouse and I enjoyed a playing of Young Frankenstein at the Enzian Theater. Tickets were reasonably priced. Plan to arrive about 30 minutes before the show to select a seat and order food/beverage. Beer and wine are served in the theater, but you can order a cocktail at the Eden Bar just outside and bring it in with you. We enjoyed the nachos and pretzel sticks. The service is friendly and attentive, and the seats and tables (most in groupings of two or four comfortable chairs) are adequately spaced to enjoy your company and the show. We look forward to coming back.

I always wanted to come to this place and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is just magical, very very romantic. It’s definitely a must for couples… We watch a movie that didn’t have good reviews, clearly wasn’t a good movie but we enjoyed it a lot as it was just different, funny and definitely entertaining. It goes exactly as the theme of the theater, very different.I would definitely go back ❤️

A true local gem of a sport. The theater is lovely and super comfy seating. The bar is nestled among the trees and flowers. All of the drinks are exceptionally made and hand crafted. A lovely space for an evening cocktail with friends and a movie.

Stumbled upon this park, and was happily surprised. Great scenery and peaceful place to walk with others, alone, or with your dog. If you go on the bridge and look down, you’ll see many turtles swimming below! There are many benches to sit on to take a rest or enjoy the weather.

Another wonderful park adventure with shady area, little kid playground, a walking pathway around the lake with lots of nature and creatures for the little curious people to see. Plenty of picnic tables and clean restrooms.Con: no playground for the older kids

Love this Park! It's a bit small but pleasant. Free, clean, public bathrooms! Places to sit in the shade. Plenty of Swannee cooters (turtles), Moorhens, ducks and egrets to see. It's a really peaceful place to visit.There is ample parking. If the lot at the front is full, continue further up and there's another lot.

I love going here and seeing the birds and turtles, and also, seeing people not bother the wildlife is nice. People occasionally go fishing here as well. Great place for a quick nature check in thanks to easy parking.

We love Lake Lilly Park. My fiancé actually proposed to me here on a picnic. There’s a lot of birds and turtles. There’s a little play ground for kids and picnic tables. There are also restrooms. It’s such a beautiful place! Also, we had a stroller - it is wheelchair and stroller accessible. There’s a sidewalk all the way around the park! It goes in a big loop all the way back to the parking lot. There is a lot of shaded areas as well!

What a picturesque park, especially after dark! The fountain and gazebo are lit up at night. You walk around a wooden boardwalk and concrete sidewalk mix around the lake. There's a children's playground and clean bathrooms as well as picnic tables and benches. The park is located right off of Orlando Ave, a very popular area in Maitland with lots of restaurants and shops.

My family frequently spends time here. Great playground for kids it's covered so the equipment doesn't get hot. Bathrooms and a lovely walking path.

Well kept, clean park. Nice to walk around. Bring your pet to do some exercise. Parking spaces are limited. But if you find a spot, it's a good time to spend.

I have walked, jogged, worked out, ate, napped on blankets in the grass, met new folks, and relaxed all at this park and every experience was enjoyable. It is quiet but lively with birds, turtles, fish, squirrels, dogs and people. And yes, I did entertain getting on the swings and slides located there as well at the playground. There are restrooms available as well.

It’s a great park that is just in desperate need of some extra upkeep/repairs to get the full 5stars from this park going regular lol🫰😬

Lake Lilly is a great little park. The loop around the lake is about 3/4 miles long. There is a great playground for the kids. There are a bunch of picnic tables around the lake and plenty of benches too. On Sunday they have a Farmers market between 9 and 2. This is a great place to just walk around the lake and Pokemon hunt if you are interested in that.

This place was awesome. Great place for the birds full of love. As a homeschooling mom I found this a great place to take my daughter but still keep an educational fun structure. Loved it, will be again!

I was so impressed with this raptor rehab center. The goal is to rehab and releases these beautiful creatures back to their natural habitat.It is easy to see that everyone there has the utmost respect and concern for each and every bird.All of the enclosures were clean,in good shape,and large enough to accommodate even the largest wing span.The center has a clinic, which you are able to view through a large window. There are signs identifying and describing each bird,as well as the native plants growing at the center.Everything is first rate. My thanks to the employees and volunteers so dedicated to the care of each patient.

Amazing location staffed by volunteers and they strive to heal birds and give the best quality of life available. Some of the long term birds were out on for people to learn about. This was well worth the admission to keep this vital rehab open and effective.

This place was absolutely awesome! We can't even express how great of a time we had over the weekend. It's neatly tucked away on the boarder of Eatonville and Maitland. There's free parking across the street and the place looks more like an old pre-k school or small library, than a bird rehab, sanctuary, educational and exhibit center.There were so many beautiful raptors and other birds at this wonderful place. Two of the young ladies who work there were gracious enough to put together an impromptu private meet and greet with one of their resident Great Horned Owls, named Henry! It was literally on my lady's bucket list so she was truly swept with emotions! What a truly life changing experience. Although small in size, this place is truly wonderful. Please go support!

I have been wanting to go here for the longest time. When we arrived it we met Sanford the owl. Just the cuttest little owl I have ever laid my eyes on. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable, asking if we had any questions. We did the self guided tour by scanning the QR code provided. All the animals were having g just as a relaxing time as we did. I loved the scenery and how how lush and green it was everywhere. It was not crowded at all so we took our time exploring and observing all the beautiful birds. Will definitely be back. I give it 10/10 happy owls. Hope to visit again soon, HIGHLY recommended!!!

I went here as a little girl with my father and I loved it. So while on vacation I decided to convince the local to go back again! My father and I have enjoyed nature all of my life as we love to awe and wonder over the creations of God! The staff is amazing and filled with all kinds of information. It's nice to know that there are so many people dedicated to the safety and well being of these beautiful animals! 😍 My favorite this time was Billie! Just too darn cute for me!

A must visit for bird lovers.My daughter wanted to learn more about what's been happening to those bird who are hurt, specially birds of prey and I only knew of Audubon, so we came and were able to witness the love and care for these animals. We didn't want to leave, it was so peaceful, she was inspired and learned a lot.

This place tries to give 2nd chance to live. Wonderful place and wonderful people who work in here. Small place of heaven where you can take a rest and mentally recover. It is worth visiting this place just because money for the tickets helps this place to exist.

What they *do* for the birds is great, five stars, but the staff seems a bit lazy and lackluster in wanting to help people learn about the birds. It’s just “scan the QR code and be on your way.” If I wanted to read everything on my phone, I would have just stayed home and used the internet.On my recent visit, a women couldn’t be bothered to get up to show us anything. She laughed, it was “late” in the day (2pm) and she was tired. Disappointed; especially after having been before and had a better experience and more interaction. Brought friends this time too, who also appreciated what this center does for the birds, for wildlife, but ultimately didn’t get any warm feelings of appreciation or “we’re happy you’re here, thank you for your support”.Something to consider: If you share the experience of taking out even one bird for people to see up close; and have a staff member who is engaged, and excited to share information with you about these amazing creatures, you excite the community and can encourage more guests to get excited; to learn, to bring friend, to share this message on social media; thus, more income, more revenue for this establishment. Sounds like a win-win with minimal effort.It’s a small place and I understand there are volunteers, but it’s still something you sign up for. It’s a public space because you *want* to bring guests in, right? I didn’t get that feeling at all. Pretty bummed out about the whole experience this time around.I suppose I can just donate and support from home next time.

This place was really neat and we learned a lot. We also got to see 7 baby owls when we went. SO cute. The staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly. Shout out to Daisy for the meet and greet with the raptors. Thank you for making our visit so special. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for something to do. Very cool facility with some awesome birds! Everyone working there was super friendly and happy to tell us about the birds and show us around. The help they provide for these birds is great. They truly care, and it shows! Definitely check them out!

I'm giving this place just three stars for a couple reasons. Entry to this place should be free. However the cost is $10 for adults. It's a very small facility. So small, you can walk through seeing all the birds within 10 to 15 minutes. Their site online suggests an hour or so. This is not the case at all. While it is an interesting place to see birds and learn about them and their rescue program, again, I don't believe it is worth the $10 charge per adult person to visit. Certainly this place receives grants to help cover operating costs. Not sure if staff is paid or volunteer. I do not recommend due to cost and limited attractions equaling to a 10 or 15min visit. Staff was friendly and birds look cared for so I gave stars for this. They are advertising on Groupon for discounted tickets. I paid $6. Still wasn't worth any fee in my opinion.

Loved this place and the work they do for the birds!!! We took our 4 kids to visit, 1 is a huge owl fan, they all enjoyed seeing the birds up close and learning about each of their stories. Nice walkway out to the lake where we saw more wild birds.

Really nice place for its size. I'm glad they have this center for the birds of prey. They have great informational plaques! I really enjoyed it. I love birds! They also have a great gazebo out over a pond perfect for taking a lunch. There was also a guide who walked around and asked if we had any questions, but don't really expect like a guided tour so much. The lady who gave us our tickets was the most informative about the facility and its processes. (For example they won't release birds until they know how to catch mice, which they raise themselves.)Bonus that they have a reusable bottle filtered water dispenser!

Nice beach. We went in mid Sept so it was not the tourist season. National Seashore so $25 day pass or bring the Nat'l Parks Pass. We went for a rocket launch. Pretty good spot to see it. Not crowded for it at all. Be comfortable with the human form in all it's shapes and sizes if you are going to be on the beach.

Get there early if you want to find a parking spot. Awesome laid back place to relax and let the sun kiss your naughty bits.

•Visited on Friday morning in late December 2023. Most kids still in school so it wasn’t busy at all.•We went down to pier 5 just to see what all the fuss was about nude sun bathers. There was decent amount of parking. We saw one “old” guy obviously nude way way down the beach to the left. That was it. It was a little cold the day we visited but sunny. Wife said it was a bit too windy and chilly to be sunbathing. On the other side we saw a kite-surfer(not sure what to call it?) That was cool to watch.•We did not see any tortoises as we were hoping for but saw at least 6 armadillos on the side of the road driving down and back up from the beaches.•You do pay at the gate and/or check your national park pass. We would visit again maybe when it was warmer.

Absolutely beautiful, not alot of parking so come early, also you are aloud to be NUDE at this beach so if seeing naked people isn't your thing you may want to pass. Public restrooms and boat ramp area.

An extremely beautiful and tranquil beach. It’s $25 to enter the park and parking can be difficult to find at ramp 5 but it’s worth it. The waves were gentle the day we were there and the bugs weren’t an issue at all. Arrived at 10:30 and left about 2:30pm. It is clothing optional at ramp 5 so take that for what it’s worth.

There is a fee to get into the park. It's $25 but it is for a week. There's several parking areas but space is limited so there's not a huge crowd which is nice. The water and beach was clean, no trash and debris. So many turtles watch your speed. Beautiful place to relax and unwind.

A beautiful cold clear day on the coast of Florida.

The very end of the Drivable Rd., Canaveral Beach. And it is stunning. You have the Indian river on the west side of the peninsula and 100 feet in the other direction is the Atlantic ocean. This is a primitive beach, although it had it has a place for fishing. Incredible views in the park service has put in an audio tour that gives a quick synopsis of what you’re looking at. Share is wildlife everywhere we passed several armadillos in pelicans. In the summertime I understand there’s 5000 turtle mess out here.

Gorgeous beach. Sand is grainy and you tend to sink when you walk so may be hard to navigate. Lots of shells of many colors. We saw a bobcat! Armadillo and tortoise too. Not for children as there are exposed bodies. Private area when we were here. Only a few people when we went but it was also chilly.

Apollo Beach is a secluded and beautiful location. However, it's worth noting that some visitors do choose to sunbathe nude, which may be a concern for some. Additionally, there is no shade or shower facilities available at the beach, so visitors should plan accordingly. Overall, Apollo Beach offers a serene and enjoyable experience for those looking for a quiet day by the water.

Even on overcast days. It’s a perfect place to feel free and liberated. Can’t wait to go back when it’s nice and sunny out 🌞☀️🌊🏖️They have a nice parking area and bathrooms right on the road. The road is paved all the way down to boardwalk 5. We did see some beautiful wild life on the way down as well : a few armadillos, a wild hog with her six little piglets and a lot of different types of birds. Great park for anyone who just enjoys nature and nudity.PS. It does cost to enter the state park. We traveled here in dec 2023 and it was $20 for the car and that was good for 7 days.

Wasn't open to go inside when I visited, but it was still a nice spot to stop and look around. You can also just sit in the rocking chairs and enjoy the day. There is a short walk from the parking lot as well as a short trail you can take instead of the dirt road.

Love this little gem tucked away in Florida’s beauty. I just wish it was open inside! :(However, the trails and the docks make up for it, and it makes for an amazing fishing spot, so bring your license with ya!

Lovely historical house with pictures and information about Eldora. The front has rocking chairs in the shade under the covered porch facing the river and there is a path at the back through the mangroves.There was also a dolphin and pelican in the river, off the dock, fighting over fish.

A great piece of Florida history. This historic site is inside the Canaveral National Seashore park and so has a national park entrance fee for the vehicle. After entering you travel about 1.25 miles (just past the Apollo Visitor’s center to the River Road turnoff on the right-hand side of the road. This road will take you by the parking areas 7 and above. There are signs for the turnoff for this site. I believe that it is about parking lot 8. Parking lot for this location is a fair distance (about 300 yards down the road) from the physical structure and the river. It is a beautifully restored house to museum for the time period. Upon entry we were greeted by a park ranger. He offered and we watched a 13 minute video. Following that we looked at the displays in the first two rooms of the house. The staff member was very friendly. Outside the house there is a dock to the north and a walkway and trail to the south. We did not go very far along the walkway. If you are a Florida history fan, this is a must-see!

Wide Sandy road walk, maybe a quarter mile to the house. You can walk the grounds and surrounding trails on your own. The house itself is only open when a ranger is available. It is kind of special to sit on the back porch in a rocking chair and watch the intercoastal waters. Very scenic. Very relaxing. Parking area easy to find.

Take a seat on the rocking chairs and be transported back in time to an old Florida feeling. A beautiful space to take in the sights and sounds of the surroundings, especially early in the morning. While the house itself was closed when I went, it was pleasurable just being on site.

This is fantastic renovation of an old house in Canavarel National Seashore with historical displays, movie inside the house. The view is looking out towards the water and provides a beautiful sunset in the evening while rocking in their rockers on the front porch. It is quiet and peaceful, a very relaxing place to visit. You feel like you have gone back in time by being there.

Very nice .I recommend going when the temperature is in the 70’s.

What a beautiful and historical place. I can imagine sitting on the front porch watching the water for dolphins. Will be making a trip back to go inside.

Oh my gosh! This place was absolutely amazing and the food was to die for! So delicious! The shrimp was amazing, my burger was amazing, it was all amazing! Definitely no lack of flavor here! My drink, excellent! Highly recommend, hopefully will be dining here on my next visit!

The food has frequently been hit and miss here but we thought we'd give it another try. The "chicken salad salad" was excellent as was the grilled chicken salad. Good beer selection and good people watching on the outside patio, Cool breeze blowing through, great food today.

Came out on a Wednesday looking for a bite after exausting the Willow Tree (which I recommend if you haven't been yet.) Got the fresh catch grouper which was 1/2 pound for 15.99 and felt worth the price.The atmosphere was relaxed and the weather was good. There were a few patrons at the bar and the bar tenders were very lively and talkative and overall enjoyable to be near. Our waitress was nice if a bit relaxed.Food was good and the prices are pretty okay I think. The swamp water cocktail was great - tasted like a pina colada just like the waitress said.Its hard to find good grouper away from the coast but it was pretty good. Not the best but not bad. The tartar sauce was good but I wanted more lol.

What a gem! We stopped here for lunch before heading to the airport and we all loved our food. We had the cheese steak sandwich, fish and chips, mahi mahi sandwich and the fish sandwich. The servings were very generous and everything was delicious. We can't wait to go back. The decor is nothing fancy, but they have a beautiful bar and fantastic covered outside area.

One of the biggest and best Cobb salads I’ve ever had! The in-house made dressings are another selling point! If you’re looking for salad in Sanford, this should be on your shortlist.

Beautiful atmosphere in the later evening with the street lights. Super fast service and excellent food! I ordered the big fish sandwich meal with the blackened haddock (minus the bun), cole slaw and side salad. Their house ranch dressing was delicious! My husband ordered the blackened mahi over dirty rice. Highly recommend!

What a pleasurable experience! First as smoker I appreciate the fact that you are allowed to smoke on the outside. I had the shrimp and grits it was AMAZING. You had choice of sides but very limited and nothing that really went with the shrimp and grits so I got fries. The wait staff was really nice. I would totally return again. Wish I could give it a 4.5, but am considering to change it to a 5* if our next trip to the breezeway is better than this one. So the original beer I ordered was not in stock so I had to get second choice. My gf asked for the homemade potato chips but fries came out with her meal. A third round of unrequested drinks came to our table by “accident”, but we didn’t really have any place to go so we just took them anyways. There was a small bone in my fried chicken sandwich. A little annoying but I could tell it was very fresh. The food is always good when we come and the service is usually very solid. As you can see there’s big portions too. Will change to 5* if our next visit is better than this time around, which I’m sure it will be.

Coming from Minnesota it is always a treat when we can have a seat outside for lunch. Heading back to Minnesota after a fairly chilly but still rewarding vacation with relatives. This will be our final meal in Florida until we return next year. Our wait staff Julie was very attentive and friendly. The cuisine was prepared properly and being able to sit outside was a bonus for sure.

Lively and cute place to enjoy a beer or swamp water with music playing and the little birds chirping. My waitress was such a doll and took good care of me. I got the curds which were okay. A burger, med rare with cheese, and fries, it was delicious. Both came out pretty quick and at a good temperatures.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. Our server Sarah was amazing! We were looking at several restaurants around this area. The reason we chose this one was the Indiana tenderloin sandwich. Being from Indiana I knew what the sandwich was about, it exceeded my expectation!!!!! Seriously one of the best tenderloin sandwiches I have ate! (definitely a 10)

I ordered the sausage gravy with two biscuits. I would not recommend this dish. It seems like they have tried to make it somewhat fancy and they would be better off just doing the regular sausage gravy with biscuits as I think it would be delicious that way. However , they added a spice of some sort and then it is slightly yellow looking. It was also very salty. My friends ordered a BLT, a grilled chicken sandwich, and french toast sticks and all of those were very good though. Very good service and nice ambiance.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place!! I stumbled upon it many years ago and have been going ever since. My FAVORITE meal is "The Big Chick" chicken sandwich (Fried drenched in mild sauce with the chips 🤌🏼💋). The service is ALWAYS GREAT & the people are all around good people. This was our first time at Wekiva RV Resort. We went for a two day get away and it did not disappoint. The spring is beautiful and the sites are very spacious. Canoeing and kayaking are on site. There is a bar and tiki grill which are open only on certain days. The property is very beautiful. It is quiet and relaxing.

Very nice RV Resort. I’m pretty impressed with how well maintained it is, and how orderly the community is. Even with as big of a park as it is, and the number of people out and about, it is fairly quiet.We have a Doberman, and typically have trouble finding parks. This park is very dog friendly and don’t have breed restrictions. More of a case by case to if the show aggression.There is a lot of water with the river and several small pond areas. Lots of wildlife and alligators. Me and wife live the walks to see what we may see.

The place is very nice. Get there early when they're open for day passes and enjoy all day under a tiki hut, rent a canoe, eat at the snack truck. The sulphur springs is rumored to be like a fountain of youth for your son! As long as you can get past the smell of eggs 😂

This is a huge family campground to enjoy everyday activities with your kids young or old . The property has lots of activities spread out all over for every age group to participate. You are free to ride bikes scooters golf carts all around and enjoy your day with friends.

We love it here! We visit every year. During the winter months the lagoon is not busy and it’s fabulous! The staff is so unbelievably nice and professional.The spots where we like over by the pool are sandy so you sink in, we wished we brought some wood to put our stands on. Also be sure to bring a large outdoor mat.There is a mineral smell (boiled egg) but that is the water and it’s natural, just be prepared for it.I do wish they would add fans in the laundry room so you don’t melt while doing laundry.

I’ve been camping during the summers at Wekiva for the last 10 years, this was our first weekend back in about 2 years. The park hasn’t changed too much but it’s clear they have let the lagoon go. Years ago the lagoon never had the nasty muck or over grown grass that it does now, they also decided to put sod where the sandy beaches were which probably led to the lagoon being full of grass. I also heard several people saying footballs or any other ball wasn’t allowed in the water. In my opinion they should stop worrying about taking the fun out of the park, and just worry about making it appealing for new visitors. They also took the pool hall away in favor of RC trucks. Let’s be honest what do you really have to offer to new visitors? A lagoon with overgrown grass and muck, strict rules, and a swimming pool that is in need of some serious work as well. The finish is chipping up and the main drain in the middle of the pool is cracked and will cut your feet. Long story short, the park has gone down hill substantially and is no where near what it used to be, would not recommend to a friend.

This is one of my families favorite places to go. We come here often for vacation as well as a great place to stay when in town for baseball. This most recent stay was “odd”. My father in law was told there were no super sites available so he had to stay a few streets over yet there was a site never occupied. Maybe a cancellation?? That wasn’t really a big deal but they have recently added these “rental cops” that drive around in old cop cars. They would ride around spot lighting into your campers or campsite as your all sitting outside, I was walking my dog and got a spot light shined in my face as they slowly drove by and they didn’t even shut it off when they realized it was in my face (mind you I was already in a lit area) and then on the last night we were driving our golf cart and they shined their spot light right in our face (they were in parked car) and claimed we were speeding. We have a digital speedometer and we were going 10mph so yes technically we were 1 over but he claimed his “radar” shows 20 but refused to show us his radar. Earlier that day another member of the staff engaged in a conversation with us about recent changes and mentioned that the security drives around acting like they are law enforcement and he was not wrong! Their demeanor is aggressive and unprofessional which takes away from the comfort of your stay. I am not sure why the change in the environment here but hopefully they can fix the aggressiveness of the security because we love this place but would not want to return if this continues. I have stayed at multiple places that have 24hr security but none have been as harassing as here.

Had a great time here. It's a huge park with lots of amenities and things to do. Wish they had cable tv for the nights and rainy days but our antenna brought in a lot of channels. We put up a great fence for the#Royalty5 and they have a great dog park too. They were the hit of the park and everyone wanted us to stay

I loved this place. I haven’t been here for a few years, but I used to keep my camper here was like my second home swimming in the waters going down and doing karaoke on the weekends with everybody great memories great memories great fun.

Awesome time. We use to camp here every Memorial Day, but quit going a few years back due to the type of people that we’re staying (drugs). But we went this year for Memorial Day and it was a blast. Wasn’t overcrowded because no day passes. The other campers were great people. We will definitely be going back.

I wish 5 stars because the place it’s beautiful, bathrooms clean, great service and support by all employees, but unfortunately the camping was short in fun, how? Camping site should have had the ring/grill for the BBQ and fire pit at night, kids love helping with the grill, smell to wood and cooking the s’mores.There are several mini grills around the lake but that’s far to move everything from the camping site to there, you can’t park there so you need to carry out food, wood, coolers, and once you are done with the grill needs to go back to the car and drive back to the camping, everyone missed the BBQ process, we came back home with the marshmallows unpacked and kids complaining about, , not fun at all!!!!I have been traveling to many campings parks and this is the first time our camping site were missing the ring/grill.String recommendations: please please please a ring with a grill in each site, BBQ and fire pit is #1 entertaining and activity when you are camping.

We always enjoy camping at Wekiva Falls, but even more now thanks to the many improvements! Staff and guests are warm & welcoming. We especially enjoyed the recent Memorial Day golf cart parade and the heartfelt tribute to the fallen at the Tiki bar.

December 2022 trip:Second visit was at the cottages. They are absolutely beautiful. There are 4 beds, 2 in the loft, 1 in a master bedroom and 1 sleeper couch. It says it can sleep 8, but that’s only if everybody shared a bed. I would say 3-4 would be a comfortable fit. It’s a friendly, comfortable community, and I enjoyed the golf cart Christmas parade. I would like to see more food options on campus (or extended Tiki Grill days / hours when staffing is maximized). Wifi could be improved too. Aside from that, I was there for a week and wish it could have been longer. I will be back again in May and can’t wait.September 2022 trip:I stayed at the nature trail primitive camping with my dog, Dixie. We enjoyed our stay. The grounds have plenty of amenities and a positive, safe atmosphere. You can bring or rent a golf cart, though I personally didn’t feel that was a need. Everything was in walking distance, and Dixie and I enjoyed walking around the site and getting our steps in. Very accommodating to dogs and we are happy that there are no breed restrictions. We already plan on going back during the winter for one of the cottages. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I felt that the 10:00 quiet time had not been enforced (people were being noisy every night past hours at the picnic tables at the eastern dead end of South Falls Overlook past hours). However I didn’t call security because they left before midnight or so, and we did get plenty of sleep in the end). Overall I could definitely see making this a frequent vacation spot.

We had a great week at Wekiva falls!! We would definitely come back again to stay. It’s real Florida for sure, clean, no crowds and lots of wildlife, beautiful scenery and great people!

We stayed here for more than a month and really enjoyed it. You can ride your bike, swim, walk the trails, go to the daily events, etc. The kids enjoyed the playground, made new friends from different states, very safe environment. The gym is small but it has free weights and a few machines. Laundry room is big, you don’t need coins and there are 2 rooms in the park. Internet needs a booster to work. Heads up, the smell of the springs is not pleasant, so be ready for that.

Honestly we did not know what to expect coming here for the afternoon. Buying tickets in advance, like other reviewers have said, is a fantastic idea. It makes the check in to the zoo quick and painless.Parking is free and easy! So many spots and not far to walk to the entrance. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Just walking through the gardens and zoo was peaceful and relaxing.The zoo itself is great for the cost of admission. We even saw some of the snakes being fed, which was pretty cool! A lot of the bigger animals (bears, cheetahs, etc.) seemed to be taking it easy, so not sure if they are more active in the morning and that would be a better time to go?The facility was clean, no trash noted along the walking paths, and there is a splash zone for the kids, so bring swimwear or a change of clothes.Souvenirs (yes, because the kids will ask) were fairly priced for a facility that works on conservation; I think a toddler shirt was $22.Overall a great experience and we will definitely return when the little one is older, as I know he will love doing that zip line!

I LOVED IT!Extremely worthwhile. Sadly it was extremely hot when we got there so some of the animals were taking refugee inside their habitats.Please remember to wear sunscreen!The best part was that I got the chance to feed the giraffe, this comes at an extra cost of 6 usd apart of the entry fee.We got an ice cream before leaving, soft serve that was really good.

Really nice zoo, the whole zoo took about 90 minutes to 2 hours to explore and that was taking it at a nice pace.They have a lot of birds that are relatively close to where you can stand, with a few of them not even fully enclosed so you can look at them without a fence in the way.During the morning the animals were relatively active. They have a splash park for children.The entire zoo is shaded, with tree cover absolutely everywhere. The entire walkway is wooden paths which is nice. They have a nice little botanical garden area.They have a wide selection of animals like black bears and cougars and cheetahs and monkeys, rhinos. A few things that the Jacksonville zoo doesn't have.There are plenty of benches situated all over so if you do get exhausted you can have a place to sit.Water costs $2 Gatorade cost $4 and any canned drinks from the vending machine cost $4. I won't say to bring your own water and drinks but probably a good idea.The snack bar is relatively fairly priced, they also have alcohol in case you want to drink when you get here that is 9 to 10 bucks per drink.All in all it was a good experience and I would recommend heading over here if you are in the area. Tickets only cost about 20 bucks, 40 if you get the souvenir cup and a meal. A burger cost about 12 bucks and comes with fries.

I'm a big fan of zoos as I am an animal lover. This zoo was pretty nice. It's a bit of a smaller zoo, only taking about an hour and a half to walk through. But the animals were out, the exhibits were well maintained, and the staff were super friendly.My one complaint is in the gift shop it was 5 dollars for a can of coke. The markup on cans is absolutely insane. 3 bucks is a fair price, but I was thirsty, and that was the only option on the side of the park I was on.I would say 53 dollars for two people is a little pricey, considering much larger zoos are cheaper. I would put the price at around 18 to 20 bucks. I've been to much better zoos for much cheaper.All in all, it's a fine zoo. Like I said, everything is kept up, no trash, and it was a fun day out.

Take a walk through the "jungle" and see all these amazing animals, birds, reptiles, and spiders. See a bear or two, a bald eagle, and otters. Take a ride on a zip line and have a bird's eye view of the zoo. You can feed a giraffe if you so desire, reasonably priced. If you have small kids there is a little play area, so they can burn off some steam. There is an opportunity to find snacks along the way. Don't miss out on an opportunity to see the Asian Luminary along your journey.

Decent sized perimeter spaced zoo. Not as many animals as I thought but fun none the less. If you buy your tickets online; before heading over you save about $2 per ticket. The entry experience was quick, fast, and easy. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was extremely friendly. They have a zipping lining excursion and trolley. It’s about 30 minutes from east Orlando. Snacks are priced well. They have a park area for the kids to play as well as a splash pad. Very clean and easy to navigate. Many of the animals were sleeping but I’m sure the heat played a role in that. Please if you are visiting in the summer time come prepared for the sun. Bring your sunscreen , bug repellent, head coverings, plenty of water and portable fans if you have.

The Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens had an event on a Friday evening that my girlfriend and I attended. I've never been to this zoo but it was great to see the various animals they have here. The giraffes and cheetahs were a first time for me to see and so close in person. The parking could be better, and many people take up more space than necessary because there are no defined spaces. The parking lot also has many pot holes that could be better filled. The train wasn't running on my visit but it would have been fun to take a ride on depending on the views. It was raining and someone got a flat tire. Sadly, only 1 employee seemed to care to do anything to assist so me and a few others helped the individual change their tire in the pouring rain. That being said, I'll probably go back to enjoy a little more time without getting rained out.

Today was my families first time at this zoo. The Botanical Garden was great and the animals were great as well. It was a nice hot day which is perfect for an outside outing. The only negative side to the zoo is they have keeper shows all around the zoo but they aren’t very specific about the location and duration of the show. Thankfully one of the staff members, Dawn assisted us with some facts about the enclosures we were interested in. We also took the train ride which was super cute and we all enjoyed it. Overall it was a great visit.

We bought our tickets online months ago, a little disappointed. We arrived at 9am when it is supposed to open. We were arriving as some employees looked like they were arriving. The parking confused me, entering the zoo confused me as well. Things were marked, but not clearly enough. Some animals weren't in their enclosures yet because staff members were cleaning enclosures out. And the whole African section of the zoo was closed for renovations. Which that is a good bit of the zoo. The reptile house was air conditioned which gave you a break from the humidity, but some enclosures at the corners were hard to see into and some things weren't in the correct exhibit. Restrooms were clean. Gift shop is small, but everything is reasonably priced. Took us about an hour to walk through the entire zoo.

Small zoo but nice seems like they are expanding most animals are close enough to get a great look at. There is a tree top obstacle, though it doesn't run through the zoo. There is also a train. Walking around is very easy they even have a splash park to play in. All in all it was a great zoo and we really enjoyed it. Purchase your tickets online you will save a few dollars, although it really was not expensive either way.

Beautiful quaint zoo. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. Easy walk to get around and see everything. Even a small water zone for kids to run off energy and cool down. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately the splash pad was not working when we got there and was only on for a very short time. It was a hot day so most of the animals were not out. We will have to come back when the weather is nicer. It is a good option to take the kids for a day out.

Me and my man took all five kids to the Zoo we had a lot of fun lot of animals lots of walking and exercise. It was very hot that day cuz it's always hot in August in Florida. Where to find time but we didn't stay long they have a splash park with the kids cool off they let you feed the giraffes but you have to pay. As you can see in my photos there was a lady feeding the giraffe. Parking is pretty good. It's a nice Zoo but we had fun!

So didn't really get to go for the zoo itself but the Asian lantern festival that was being held. The lights were something to see. They were amazing! Even in the dark you can tell the actual zoo itself seems nice and decently sized though

Great wee zoo, not the biggest but packed with plenty to see. All the animals on show looked healthy and happy with clean and spacious cages. A nice touch was all the fans in the cages keeping the animals cool, which they were taking full advantage of. There are boardwalks all around the zoo, so no muddy or wet feet. They were replacing lots of the wooden fencing when we were there so it will look really nice when finished. There is a cafe and food booths in the zoo for food and drink. There are changing rooms available for the kids who get wet playing in the water fountains. Toilets are available. There is air conditioning in the gift shop, bear viewing room and exhibition centre. Lots of free parking outside the zoo. The highlight was getting to feed the giraffes ($5) for 3 lettuce leaves. There is also the chance to feed the animals in the petting zoo but this does run out quick so best do that early in the day.

Beautiful place. Need more benches in shady spots for resting. Kids loved it but the heat kept animals inside (smart animals). Checker board in the rain was the best part kids said. Also snacks and drinks were crazy expensive!

I love the zoo and botanical garden. I took my Grandson there, and he really enjoyed it. There are wooden walkways through the entire park, making it accessible for everyone. You are provided with a map at the entrance, and there are signs posted to guide you through the exhibits.I like the fact that everything is scaled to a child's eye view, so they can enjoy the exhibits all by themselves. There are plenty of areas to sit, rest, picnic,play, or buy food.There is a $2 discount if you buy tickets online. Seniors are $18.95, ages 3-12 are $16.95. Next visit,I will buy my tickets in advance.

It was great. Low key, lots of fun animals. The splash pads were a great idea for the kids to have some fun running around. A bit of a bummer the train is an up charge. One heck of a snake exhibit.

I went here for the Asian Lantern 🏮 Festival and was not disappointed. It’s so beautiful and so much though and time went into these light sculptures. I recommend going at the 7:00pm time slot because the lights are in their full glory and there are snacks and some food you can get there too if you’re hungry. By far worth the $22, amazing place to get some photos.

I purchased tickets to this event for yesterday. I ended up throwing out my back and was so upset that my family and I couldn't go. I gave them a call and replied to my ticket confirmation and asked if they could extend my tickets. Didn't think they would though.A short time later I received a call from a nice lady who was compassionate and kind. Told me they would allow us to come another day up until the display ends.I rescheduled to today with hopes my back would cooperate and was sent new tickets for today's show. How incredibly nice of them to allow a last minute reschedule.My husband , Mom and I had a Wonderful time. Thank you so much for being so accommodating 🙏.

Weekday visit was great. Not too many other guests. Although there were a number of school classes attending, the zoo staff kept them to one side of the paths. It was also interesting to listen in on the information they shared with the students regarding the various animals.Was delighted to see not only animals to view, but encounter experiences, a water splash for kids and playground area.We didn't dine at the zoo, but will add information after our next visit.The Asian Lantern Festival is currently taking place, so the displays were erected. It was a surprise to see how colorful they are before being lit. Can't wait to see them at night!It's easy to purchase tickets online, thus avoiding any lines at the ticket booth.

I am a zoo fanatic! I really love going to the zoo. This zoo compared to others is very small. You can finish it in about less than an hour. If you just want to get out of the house for a few hours, this is the place to go. However the prices are a little bit high for the experience. They really don't have many animals but hopefully in the future they start to improve and add more to the zoo to make it a more enjoyable experience.

Small zoo some exhibits were getting revamped. All th snakes were displayed in nice cages and moving around. And monkeys were running around right in front of glass allveryvtime we walked by food was good quinoa salad was tasty and chicken fingers were good. The kid crushed her meal.

Came here for Mothers Day! It was a nice treat as to moms were free for the day. It’s changed a lot. Last time I came here was back in high school and they’ve added a nice splash pad, different kiosks to get food and a playground. It’s very peaceful to walk around and enjoy the animals while also enjoying nature.

The evening at the zoo was very entertaining. It is an enjoyable event for families to see the animals after hours and possibly feed the giraffe (for a fee). It was definitely worth the time and money spent.

Went to the zoo yesterday and had a disappointed experience. A lot of the pens were empty and the other animals were hiding because of the heat. For instance, the black bear area had not one bear in sight. The very friendly staff said it was because they have shade, a pool, and fans in that far building. I paid to show my kid animals, not buildings of where they live. Why not construct their oasis near viewing windows or fences? Poor planning and this was the case for most animals, as they were hiding and trying to beat the heat. In the future, create comfort areas in places that your guest can see. We understand you can't make them run around, but at least seeing an animal sleeping is better than seeing a empty cage. If you go, the monkey area, and giraffe feeding area is their highlights are cool. Other then those 2 areas we were disappointed.

Very nice place to visit with family. Very clean, well maintained. The collection of animals is small, and we only needed about 3 hours to see everything. For a small fee, you can feed giraffes or have a close up encounter with Indian rhinos. This is more of an attraction geared toward locals as opposed to the tourist giants that Orlando is famous for.

Nice very small zoo. You can feed the giraffes and other goats and chickens. There's a 8 min train ride that cost an additional $4 per person. There's a splash pad for the kids!! A few places for drinks ice cream and some adult beverages. They also rent wagons for small kids. Overall nice place with lots of shade.

Had an amazing time and loved seeing the beautiful animals from other parts of the world I would never have otherwise seen! I got to feed a giraffe!! It was so beautiful and so cool to see! The rhino and cheetah was very neat as well! My son loved it, my daughter being only 3 months old I think loved it too hahaha but me and my husband enjoyed it as well and will definitely be going back! Beautiful wildlife.

We had such a blast there. It definitely is a lot bigger than I thought. They are very military friendly and give a discount. Driving to the front may seem a little tricky. When you drive up you will see a train station for their adorable little train for the kids, that's where you park and go past the station and you will see the front entrance. Once inside you will be able to explore everywhere definitely take your time and there are many animals to see. The staff was super friendly and they are everywhere to help. You get to feed a giraffe which our son absolutely loved. Definitely a place we will go again.

We enjoyed our visit to the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. The walk around the zoo was lovely and watching the Spider Monkeys interact with one another was a highlight. Unfortunately, some of the animals' habitats were empty when we went. Nevertheless, we liked what we did see. The Reptile House is great, and there is a nice water splash area for kids with changing rooms.

It could be nice getaway with your family specially if you have little ones as they'll enjoy. It's not a big Zoo by any means and you'll be able to cover it in 2 hours if you go at your easy pace. Bear exhibit was awesome with 2 sibling bears playing with each other and was fun to watch. Instructor was so nice and friendly to explain every little detail and whatever questions we asked. You can see a rhino, feed giraffe 3 small pieces is lettuce for $6 :facepalm: lol. Trails are nicely maintained and accessible by strollers. Parking was not an issue. There's a playground where kids can have fun while parents take a breather. Most of the animals were sleeping when we visited, who wouldn't get tired in this hot weather and take a nap in the shade. One of the more enjoyable beaches on the east coast, especially when you want to break away from the huge crowds at the nearby Daytona. Go early on a weekday to enjoy the sunrise the way i have here, in my photos.

Loved this beach, the sand, the water. Very clean and if you want the car by the beach you can pay 20,00 for the hole day.

Great place to spend an entire day, you can park you car close to the beach front paying $20 perDay but they also have yearly pass. Sand is soft and clear water, it’s really nice for family with kids. We go over there every year.

Great beach on the Atlantic side of Florida. I liked the option of parking on the beach for $20. The beach was clean and the water also. The only issue was always a line for the bathroom.

This place is so beautiful! I love how we can jus park on the sand while over looking the water. They have a food truck there with burger fries corn dogs, and they also have Beach umbrellas and chairs for rent amongst other things. My new favorite place to go to.

Beautiful. Water is crystal clear. Waves are not as strong as cocoa beach which is great. There’s rentals, showers, bathrooms… perfect spot

This is one of my favorite beach. It was really beautiful. The beach was close to the water and had some shade.

This 'drive on ' beach is great! Plenty of good fishing too. The only thing missing are the shells! If you want shells, this isn't the place to go!

Beautiful beach with white sand. Loved it.

Loved the beautiful beach. I’ve never seen so many sharks at one beach in my life. While we arrived there was a great white leaving the beach. We then came face to face with multiple smaller sharks while wading waist deep in the water. It was an exhilarating moment that I will never forget. We saw a total of 5 sharks that day.

Nice little town and park. Plenty of beachfront and waterview restaurants/bars. There are a lot of places to stop in and grab a drink or bite to eat. Parking can be a challenge during the busy summer season and the beach isn't that big. There are public restrooms near by, not the cleanest however.

Beach front parking with showers and restrooms. The beach is nice, offers a traffic free area and also a ramp to drive onto the beach. The facilities are pretty run down and the garbage smells quite a bit. When we were there the parking was used by Semis to spend the night and they had the engine running which was pretty loud and disturbing. If you are looking for some peace and serenity, try the other entrances.

I've been visiting New Smyrna Beach, on and off for 50 years, it is one of the most beautiful beaches that I've ever been to. The only problem I have with their main beach area on Flagler Avenue is that the curb appeal is an embarrassment for such a beautiful beach. It cost $20 per day to park in their parking lot and $20 per day to drive on the beach. There are literally thousands of people per month that park in the parking lot and drive on the beach at the $20 a day rate. I have absolutely no problem with the cost, but you would think that they might be able to take a fraction of a percentage of the income made from the parking lot and from the beach and put it into the landscaping surrounding the parking area. They could easily install low maintenance native grasses, etc., to give this area the "WOW" affect for a very minimal investment.

This is a really nice beach. You can drive on the beach, ride bicycles, e-bikes etc. You can rent two chairs and an umbrella for only $40 for the day. They have plenty of lifeguards. It's a nice place to relax or go for a swim.

I love it here. Paid parking using the meter and also via app. Very comfortable and convenient. Picnic tables with shade available. Great view of the beach. I always meet nice people to visit with. Lots of bathrooms and showers!

Very nice beach with perfect sand. Cars are allowed but once parking spots are taken there is very little traffic. The area around, Flagler Ave is full of restaurants and stores.The only issue is parking. If you come on weekend most likely you will have to look for parking on the side streets and walk 5-10min, but walking along Flagler Ave is actually another attraction of Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park.

Beautiful wide beach. Clean, well maintained showers and public restrooms. Many shaded areas are provided for those beachgoers that prefer to stay out of the sand yet sit and take in the beach activities and the waves. Very close to restaurants, unique shops. There are both free public parking and paid parking spots($15/day). Not sure what it costs to drive onto the beach.Very busy on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Finding parking can be a challenge during these days. Will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend.

This is a great place to park if you are sunning, swimming, AND wanting to take in some of the shops and restaurants along Flagler Ave BUT it's $20 to park, no matter how long you stay. Next time, we will drive just down the road to the refurbished park also with restrooms and facilities when just beaching it!!! We love the town of New Smyrna Beach with the fantastic restaurants and shops, especially Canal Street! We had a great time, but DO NOT FORGET TO BRING THE NO-SEE-UMS SPRAY IF YOU STAY PAST 4PM ON THE SAND!!!!

This whole area is usually pretty clean and pretty safe. Restrooms are kept nice. Trash is picked up parking lot looks good. It's always a nice little stroll down Flagler avenue. Nice shops to visit, cool little eateries you can't go wrong. There's is a fire station right there also. Good location to stay at and enough beach.

Way overcrowded for parking, which is $20 all day no matter how long you want to stay. It’s a nice beach but when it’s busy and there’s hundreds of cars driving alone and playing their music, is defeats the purpose of the nature. Would not recommend or return unless I knew it was not busy at all and found free parking.

Of all the beaches in Florida.... I LOVE THIS ONE! You can drive on it! My bestie and I have created so many memories here.

This is the best place to demonstrate what a one wheel can do on wet pack sand. I figured if cars can drive on it, so can we, on a one wheel!One of the best things about this visit to the beach was that the wind was blowing the fresh cooked seafood aroma towards us! Oh ya, and family too!

The beachfront area was not overly crowded this time of year. Also, clean and well kept. Very peaceful and yet much to do!

Just a beautiful beach. To park on the beach itself was $20 but well worth it.

Great place to visit! Lots of younger people at this beach, although I think a holiday had something do with that. Didn't make a difference it was quiet. The water was a bit cold, yet everyone was wearing swimsuits and bikinis and playing in the water! Can't imagine how wonderful this place is when it's warm out. There are plenty of dining and drink venues left and right for you to choose if you require a cold beverage or a bite to eat! Can't wait to go back! Was our 1st time here. We were in town for DAYTONA 500! See you again soon!

Beautiful beach! Very clean and there is always security driving up and down the beach. Lots of shops and places to eat!

I absolutely love this park!It has benches with cover, pavement to walk/ride on, bathrooms to use, public showers and it’s right off of Flagler Ave!I’ve spent many mornings and evenings watch the beautiful sky and water.I highly recommended visiting during dawn as it has proven to be a fantastic place to eat breakfast and view the sunrise!

While visiting New Smyrna Beach we wanted to go to the boardwalk. It was a little after 5pm when we arrived. We weren’t sure how the paid parking worked. Evidently you don’t have to pay to park after 5pm. Win for us! We enjoyed walking on the beach. Awesome!

This was the best beach I've been to in Florida so far! The sand is soft and light, the water was very warm (in June), but the waves were strong. The Lifeguards are attentive and do their job well, there's a place to shower and use the restrooms after the beach, picnic tables, and places to walk to for food/drinks. We'll definitely be visiting again soon!

I absolutely love this little town and going in and out of the shops and restaurants. It is a great place to spend a day trip.

Cool water on a hot summer day! Nothing better! Mother Nature provides her own lazy river. Our family goes at least once a year. We love this place more than any beach. The wildlife is also incredible.

What a beautiful spot! We also got a break in the weather, the temperature was just right. But most of all...our guide Gina from Adventures in Florida was spectacular! She was the perfect combination of knowledgeable and friendly and funny! Pointed out so much wildlife including a ton of birds, some alligators and a bunch of manatees!

Very nice state park close to Orlando, about 45 minutes drive to get there. In December we are not able to swim but the beautiful spring kept many manatees, it was great time to see so many of them! Kids love them.

Gorgeous park! We had a great time tubing and walking around appreciating the scenery and wildlife. We were within 2 feet of a momma manatee and her calf that swam by and stopped to say "hi"! The restroom facilities and gift shop were both well maintained. We enjoyed our day here.

Plenty of things to do for everyone be it swimming, kayaking, hiking, boat trips. We went in mid November when we were unable to go into the water because of the migrating manatees but just to see them in their natural environment was well worth the tripAmazing place!

I love coming here all year round. During the summer you can get in and enjoy the cool crystal clear water, and during the winter you can walk around and enjoy the wild life. There is so many manatees that visit each year, it's really amazing to see. There's also a boat tour that you can take but you have to get tickets in advance. There's a nice playground area for the kids, and there are also cabins for rent. And did I mention that the entrance fee per car is only like $6.

It was beautiful! We saw several manatees. The picture is of a mommy and 3 babies. There's a $6.00 per car fee to enter. There's trails and rentals. There is a campground, store and lovely walkways and viewing areas of the crystal clear springs. Beautiful park.

I will be the first to admit, I’m not much of a nature girl. However, manatees are my favorite animals. They are so cute! Anyway, if you wanna go kayaking with manatees, this is an awesome place to do it! Pro tip:go early- not much shade and at the time if this post you are not allowed to swim due to renovation! The park staff were really nice and informative though.

Love it every second. My husband and I rented a kayak for 4h. We were able to spend 2h only as I was not expecting to see so many alligators 😅... the park is amazing and the manatee is so cute. We were able to see one only, but it was great. If you are looking for some time with nature and quietness here is your place to go. Arrive early, and don't forget to do the boat tour at St. John's river, it is breath taken. Will definitely come back for more adventures... be very careful with the gators of course 😅🙈 they can come quite close 😉

Wonderful time with friends. Manatees, gators and bird oh my. Beautiful day, went on the boat ride. Best time in a long time. They knew what they were doing. The lady knew her animals and their stories as she picked them out and the gentleman knew his boat to get close to the animals as he could get. Great team. Then we went to the swimming hole and saw more manatees and they had a guide to make sure nothing harmed them. Swimming hole cold but, refreshing.

It was awesome! Cold, but that was expected for a spring. The water was pretty and a nice clear sea green color from the algae and spring floor. There were so many fish! Including alligator gars. I got lucky and came when a group of rescued manatees were being monitored to see how they adapt to the habitat. I got to see them up close and it was such an experience! The camping was really fun too. For my first time it was really really nice and tranquil. It felt good to escape civilization for a few. Recommend this park to anyone. Reasonably priced too, imo.

An absolutely gorgeous river fed from an easily accessible spring. A wonderful opportunity to see much aquatic wildlife, from gar fish to manatees!The water is crystal clear in most spots, making snorkeling equipment a must. The lazy pace of the spring-fed river is perfect for tubing as well.There are full amenities at the park including a bathrooms, shelters, and a store.

It is truly awe inspiring. The amount of wildlife, chiefly manatees but also gators, big ones at that, in close vicinity is really special. The water is so clear that you can easily spot all of the different fish species including gars. The park also offers picnic areas and if my memory serves me right restrooms and vending machines for water and sodas. The boardwalk throughout the park is also a perfect way to get around to the upper ponds and to do some bird watching while exploring the area. I will definitely return.

Camping review. Love the campsites here. Plenty of woodland coverage feels like all alone. Restrooms clean and hot water for a shower. Easy walk or bike ride to the spring. Lovely 73 degrees water, and two manatees swam by while we were swimming. Excellent bike/hiking trails and deer everywhere.

Had a fabulous time! Rented a canoe through Blue Springs Adventures doing the unguided option and it was worth every penny! Only spent the 6$ for park admission and it was around 34$ for a 4 hr 2 person canoe rental (they also offer kayak rentals). Lots of wild life; birds, turtles, manatees, snakes, and gators! Oh my! 10/10 do recommend and will do again! After we finished our canoe trip we went down to the springs to cool off which was the icing on the top of the cake!

The park was kept clean, the water was great. We were able to swim with the mantees while we were there they swam near the head of the spring. You are not allowed to touch them though, and you have to stay 20 feet away. There’s somebody who stays on a kayak and kind of follows the manatees to make sure people are leaving them alone. And that’s a good thing. It was nice to see some wildlife in the water with us. you can scuba dive here so that was fun to see the scuba divers going down into the hole. The current is very strong coming out of the hole so for younger children it could be difficult. I was able to walk through the old house of the person who used to live there, that was pretty cool. And they have a nice park for the kids, kayaks you can rent, lockers and tubes for rent. Now there’s not a lot of picnic tables so if it’s a crowded day that could be tricky if you’re trying to catch a table… But it’s not bad it’s very pretty lots of open grass to lay a blanket out if you wanna go picnic style. There is a decent amount of bathrooms probably about 8 to 10 stalls. I would definitely recommend !!!

Blue Springs State Park is stunningly beautiful. The crystal clear water, the Manatees swimming, fish galore, turtles sun bathing on logs near the water, all amazing sites. Spanish moss hanging over the water is so pretty. Anyone visiting will not be disappointed. Gift shop, picnic areas, kayak rental.

Amazing!! So many manatees! And great trails, lookouts, bathrooms, museum, giftshop, etc. we did wait a while in a car line to get into the park, but it was only $6 per car. Like $2 for pedestrians, and more for bigger vehicles. Didn’t need a lot of time, not a whole day experience. An hour or two to walk the trail and watch the manatees. There’s picnic benches, lawn, and a lunch bar I believe too!

It is a fantastic place to bring kids and family out for family activities like picnics while enjoying God's beautiful creation. It was ONLY $6 per car at the entrance. They have a gift shop and a Kayak for rent if you like to roll around the lake. Beautiful area! 🥰❤️

This place is always beautiful. It's definitely one of my favorite places. While swimming is currently off-limits, it's still a great place to visit for a great chance to see a lot of wildlife. We were lucky to catch some manatees during our most recent visit which isn't very common this time of year.

Exceptionally beautiful spring and spring run. The boardwalk is also an easily accessible path which you have the potential to see so much wildlife from. One of the best places to see manatees as well during the winter. The park staff do a great job with maintaining this park. There’s also a hiking path inside the park accessible from the lower parking lot called pine island trail… east but long and very little shade In Some parts. I love visiting this place and have done so many many times!

My mom and I went here to check out this beautiful Spring. We hiked a little, walked the boardwalk along the spring area and did a 2 hour cruise on the St John's River. It was so peaceful and wasn't very crowded when we went. You can swim, tube, snorkel and dive the area. The water is so clear, but 72 degrees, its a little to cold for me. We saw a few manatee, but during winter time this place gets over 700 manatees coming in. Beautiful place and recommend. Great seeing undeveloped areas.

I've been to Blue springs quite often through the years yet it is only getting better with time. The rain kept the crowds down so the experience was even better. As you can see from the photos, the turbidity of the water was very good. Crystal clear in most places, so as to be able to see the plethora of wildlife. The source of the spring I found was the best place to enjoy swimming and the clearest water. As you travel downstream you begin to see a tremendous array of fish, birds, turtles, etc.Definitely was a wonderful day at Blue spring State Park 🏞️.

Awesome place to go kayaking and swimming. The kayak rental station hands out the last batch of boats at 3pm and you have to be back at 4pm the latest. The park closed at 7pm that day.Very clear water in the spring and we could spot some Manatees.

This is such a picturesque spring.I had an amazing time swimming with the manatees (at a safe distance) and taking in nature’s best.Tip: When paying for parking online you have to go down the list and select the right location. :) (You might have to pay again at the gate if you select the wrong park.)

Went with my boyfriend to see the manatees and there were so many there! I know they look like rocks in the water but watching them swim around with their babies was so cool. A really good time, highly recommend.

One of my favorite places in the world. The amount of joy I get from seeing manatees flock here every year is beyond comprehension. There are always such dedicated and passionate volunteers there fielding questions about the park, manatees, the nature there, and engaging with kids and visitors alike.I’ll miss not swimming here this year as they undergo construction to help the shore erosion, but, I’m so glad they’re maintaining this space for years to come.

Such a beautiful place! Water is so clear you can see all the fish and there was a huge variety of them. We were there towards the end of the manatee season but were able to see one manatee that had been rescued with a tracker on it. There was a volunteer there that was very helpful and informative and answered all of our questions about manatees. The walking trail is easy with several overlooks of the spring. Restrooms were very nice and clean. This place is a must see!

Very nice park to enjoy. You can also rent canoes and go on the river. Unfortunately, swimming was not allowed. There are grills everywhere and lots of places to sit. The path through the forest takes about 10 minutes on foot and you can see manatees. Everything was clean and tidy. There is still some construction going on at the moment.

Went right during prime time. So there was a line up to get in. The rangers kept the line moving quickly. We were lucky to find parking. The main walk is paved and boardwalk with overlooks. The day we went the manatee count was 482. There were a lot you could see from the walkway. Was an amazing sight to see them. The water was clear and kept getting clearer the closer you got to the spring.Highly recommend visiting!Restrooms, gift shop, and small snack stands on site along with kayak rentals.

Lot of construction, but still super cool. Ton’s of alligator gar, catfish and other miscellaneous fish. Water was super clear. We also saw a momma manatee and her baby, as well as others. Handicap accessible.

Went kayaking for a few hours. We really enjoyed it! The only thing was some of the boats, and jetskis didn't pay close attention.The swimming area is currently closed. I can't wait for it to reopen next year.

Beautiful state park with crystal-clear spring water. We visited this state park twice and both times in the month of December. Hundreds of manatees gather here in the spring from mid of November to March, and it's such an incredible sight.

7/24: NO swimming, NO diving, NO floating, or NO fishing.The park itself is well-developed with a long, beautiful boardwalk that goes along the spring run with crystal-clear water where you can see dozens of different types of fish.The only things you can do right now because of the restoration construction are launch your kayak, take a boat tour, walk the boardwalk, or visit the Thursby House or gift shop.$5 entrance fee.

A visit to Blue state Park will not dissapoint. They have regular boat trips, just check that they are running on the day you want. All done on-line. We went early May, so all the manatees had gone. Plenty of fish to see! We saw an American Bald Eagle. Lots of other birds too. Even saw some deer and the prize of the day was an Armadillo! Lovely board walk that offers plenty to see. This walk is wheelchair friendly too. There are restrooms there and a small shop for souvenirs and to buy cold drinks. If visiting for the day just make sure that yiu have enough water and food as it can get very hot!

Wanted to see manatees at the spring but all of them migrated away by now. Otherwise the park is nice. The water is very clear and there's quite a lot of fish in the spring. It's a peaceful and tranquil environment perfect for a family picnic. There's a gift shop and a small convenience store where you can buy snacks.

This place is magical. It was so cool to see all the manatees hanging out staying warm. When I went, the count was at 146! Earlier in the week, they had the record for almost 1k!!! This park is beautiful and I wish I would've packed a picnic.

Such a great place to visit to see some manatees. There were almost 300 there on the day we visited so the water activities cancelled but we weren’t planning on doing any anyway. I can imagine it’s very cool to do on a hot summer day. There are also some nice trails and plenty of bathrooms and food options.

Josephine is a volunteer here and helped is find the Manatee. Manatee were so much fun to watch, so glad they made a showing despite being out of the normal season. Trails are good with canopy cover. No swimming was allowed while we were there.

We stayed in one of the cabins and had a great time! The springs were closed for swimming but we were able to walk the boardwalk and play at the playground. The kids loved riding their bikes and we saw lots of animals and fish in the springs. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our week (although the bed was as hard as a rock!). We would definitely come back!

Blue springs State Park was beautiful. My fiance and I were incredibly happy with the camping site. Lots of shade level ground easy access to water electricity it was great. The only thing that we didn't care for was the fact that the Blue springs was closed this year all year and they don't tell you till you get to the little house to pay. Nothing on the website nothing on the gate as you're coming in. We stayed anyways it was still fun lots of critters squirrels deers possums raccoons. Well go again but maybe we'll wait till the springs are open.

Very cool place to check out.. unfortunately we didn't see any manatee, but we did see lots of fish and cool birds. Nice little walk and playground for the kids. Will definitely come back.

There is always wildlife to look at. Especially since swimming has been closed down. We saw tons of Gar and other fish bigger than the length of my arm. The boardwalk is clean and well maintained and gives plenty of platforms to stop and see the springs and potential manatee activity. The house on the property is also worth a visit if you like learning about history and seeing some tools from antiquity. It's definitely worth multiple visits if you want to catch a glimpse of manatees

This is an absolutely beautiful park! We went in the beginning of April and it happened to be firefly season. It was absolutely magical. I would recommend it to anybody! We'll be coming back next winter when the manatees are there. Can't wait!

A lovely park with plenty of activities. If you time your visit right, you can see a lot of manatees and other wildlife. There's also setups for kayaking and diving so you can explore the area a little better (not available during manatee season)There's a historic house with some educational material available, but it's very focused on a colonial mindset, with little information available regarding the indigenous people who resided here originally.

Marvelous geologic experience of a fresh water spring and boil, easy walk with concession stand and restrooms. Mostly shaded. Fair entry price. Great way to experience natural Florida without having to worry about being in the water with the alligators! We had no wait to enter the park and found convenient parking without a problem. Very nice.

Very nice park. Campground is well maintained and very clean bathhouses. Lots of hiking and boating. Currently under construction on banks of the springs, so no swimming until the project is completed. Nice gift shop and canteen. Sightseeing boats are available for a fee.

This park overlooks the inlet at New Smyrna and has plenty of pavilions on the well maintained boardwalk. You can also see the lighthouse across the inlet. Plenty of beach access (although it's quite a walk from the parking lot - where the rest rooms and showers are also located.) One of the few parks where pets are welcome. If you park here there's a $10 fee or $20 for an annual pass. You can always walk or bike in for free.

Great location for early morning! Definitely bring some bug spray. It’s a joinery to get to the rocks but it’s worth it. Perfect for dogs, there’s several water stations for them.

An amazing place for a good walk - breathing in fresh air, looking for turtles. You can have a picnic here and they have two floor view towers with picnic tables. Access by boardwalk to the beach. Ample space for activities. Dog friendly for the boardwalks only. Open showers and faucet for washing sand away. Plentiful signage for way finding and general environment information. Also, there's car access to the beach. $10 entrance fee.

Smyrna Dunes Park is a184 acre inlet park located along the southern shoreline of Ponce de Leon Inlet. The park has over 2 miles of wide, elevated, handicapped accessible boardwalk capped with recycled lumber that is both comfortable and durable.Prime spot for outdoor recreation, but it’s also a must-see for ecologists and nature enthusiasts. The park consists of five different ecosystems including ocean, river, scrub zone, marsh, and of course, dunes.Smyrna Dunes Park is open from sunrise to sunset and passage is $10 per vehicle. If you’re planning an extended stay in New Smyrna, you should consider purchasing the $20 Annual Inlet Parks Pass. The Inlet Park Pass allows entrance to the Dunes on the south side and Ponce Inlet to the north.

This beautiful park is immaculately kept. It opens at 6a and dogs are allowed on the ~1.5mi loop boardwalk until 10a and again 1hr before sunset. Also, dogs are allowed on the beach but ONLY north and west of the jetty. Restrooms, showers, and dog wash stations are at the park entrance. Be sure to bring water and also in the summer wet down your dog before you start the loop. Enjoy!!

A great dog park in Volusia County. Affordable entry price for the day or for the year. The parking lot area gets full pretty early. The jetties are also at the end with many options to get some sand, surf and rays. Nice boardwalk system that goes around the perimeter of the park. Water is pretty calm where the dogs can play. Excellent Dog Beach!Very friendly staff members. You find poop bag stations throughout the pathways. Water station for the fur babies. Showers available and wash hose for the fur babies washing after a day at the beach.Many people fish from the pier. We enjoy bringing our 🐕 dog for a play day.

I took my dog for the first time to the New Smyrna Dunes Park dog park and had a great time. You have to pay for parking, the day pass is $10 or the annual pass is for $20. If you are going there more than once then the annual pass makes more sense. It is a long walk from the parking lot to the inlet here the dogs are allowed to be on the beach, They will need to stay on their lease the whole time. Definitely bring a wagon or something to help transport your things from the parking lot to the area of the beach where the dogs are allowed.

Lots of walking but a bit pricey at $10. If you like to walk on the water front Smyrna Dunes Park is your place. Everything is very well kept. Bring water. There are lots of signs describing the snakes and vegetation. Parking is a little tight. Friendly staff. If your looking for beach time this is a great place and justifies the fee.

Went in Memorial Day around 10a. Lot was closed due to full capacity. I was fortunate and only waited about 20 minutes to get in. 10 daily pass and 20 for a season. Boardwalk is a little over a mile and gives you access to the beach on the Atlantic side. Lots of benches and covered pavilions. Saw quite a few Gopher Tortoises on the walk. They have a fishing pier near the parking lot. Also beach access along the eastern side, at least 3 distinct areas.

While visiting family in Daytona Beach we took some time to explore this park... A hidden gem among all the more talked about parks. Loved it and if you have a dog they have a dog beach...also view the river, jetty, and Atlantic. Boardwalk trail has great views and if you are lucky you will get a pic of the gopher tortoises.

This was a great beach spot! The playground was pretty nice! Only it’s still very much under construction and the ramp to the beach is a little challenging to get to. (At least when we were there). Also, there is now a parking fee. We opted to stay a few minutes to let the kids play but decided to go elsewhere that day for the convenience of parking and unloading, as well as ease with our family size. I’m sure that once construction is complete this would make a fantastic visit.

Love this place! The boardwalk is the perfect walking length 1.5 mile loop, or pretty close to a 5k if you double it.Beaches are beautiful, and you can bring dogs in certain areas. They even have a dog wash station to clean them off before going back into the car. Also have ADA ramps for beach access.The only downfall is how crowded the parking can get on weekends.

Excellent walking and very handicap accessible. Walk on a nice deck walkway. Not much to see until you get to the water. Beach is nice to walk on. Sand is hard. There is seaweed so not completely clean. Lots of misc garbage lying around from being washed ashore. Nice bathroom facility near parking lot. Some of the prettiest sand!!!

Awesome walk on a cool January day. It is so beautiful. We got off the boardwalk and walked the beach for a bit. Saw a large turtle but no other critters. I was looking for snakes, lots of warning signs about them. Will definitely be back.

What a nice park, especially for you and your dogs. We enjoyed the long walk around the boardwalk over the dunes and enjoyed seeing the turtles as well as the ocean.

Incredible, dog-friendly Beach with calm ocean water and spectacular view. $10 parking fee is more than worth it and that's with one re-entry. Restrooms, showers and a shelter make it even more convenient. For dog owners there are watering holes and a guy that comes around on an atv to deliver water as well. For people wanting dandy beaches and ocean water without battling the waves, this is the perfect spot!

After getting in, everything was wonderful. The older lady at the booth, not so much. She was a little rude and didn't seem like she liked her job or wanted to be there. I have a beach pass, and I was told that the dog parks were included . She told me this wasn't the beach and I had to pay, $10 please. I just paid and went on to enjoy my day. I didn't want her to ruin it. Even my granddaughter said wow grandma she wasn't very nice. Still have a wonderful afternoon.

I absolutely love this spot. It can be a wait to get in, but it is worth it. Please be respectful of wildlife and safe. This is one of my favorite places hands down. The walk can be very hot without shade, so pack accordingly. We had the absolute best time ever. The dog beach is absolutely amazing and they put water out for the dogs which is just the coolest.

Had the best time at this beach . Alot bigger shells here compared to the ones at the place we was staying . And lots of them at low tide . Only problem with is was all the owners not cleaning up after there pets Just pure laziness. Later In the afternoon i guess people just to tired to pick it up. And the guy on the side by side there just not enough room for peope and for him to ride on at same time . We used our parking pass both times here that day. We also seen 6 turtles coming and going from nest area so made I even better .

This is a beautiful park and the boardwalk is well maintained! I can imagine that it can get quite hot in the summer months so go early in the day.

We love visiting. We drive in from the public beach side that allows vehicles and then walk over to the state park side. If you park at the dunes parking lot it's a decent walk.

We loved this place! We walked the trails and looked for shells on the beach. We spent several hours here and really enjoyed it!

Small facility packed with very informed passionate staff. My son LOVED the touch tank, he didn’t want to leave Chip, Queso, Poseidon, Pancake (favorite b/c of his left turn swim,) and the only lady stingray, Gracie- ask me how long we stayed to learn all the thing!!! He wants to work with a rehab center when he grows up!Wish that the rehabbing turtles had a better viewing area. All of them are not able to be seen from the viewing deck.They do have a glass viewing area (with an overhead camera streamed to a TV) that visitors are able to watch while turtles were being examined.Bird section (a slight walk down from main building) was like a mini zoo path.Also, wish they had cuter stuffed turtles (and Bella canvas souvenir shirts)in the gift shop. We found plenty of items to purchase though, including a bracelet with a link to track our own turtle! 🐢💚

My family and I always visit this Science center when we come to Florida on Vacation. We love it. The ONLY downfall is how small it is. I was told, when we were there a few days ago, that they are expanding! I am so happy to hear this. It gives so much incentive to look forward to new things!I also love the fact the prices are so reasonable that people don't go broke upon entry. It's such a cute and educational place to visit. And so very worth the visit.

Love this place and everything they do. Great place to visit and see all the turtles they are healing and awesome lobby with ranks of fish, turtles, seahorses, and more. Live action chances to feed the stingrays and leaning room where we leaned about owls with Bubba. They also have a Bird Sanctuary on site. Great place!!

An amazing opportunity to teach kids and adults all about marine life. There were baby turtles getting care from very staff and the viewing window allowed visitors an opportunity to watch them care for the animals. Our kids had a blast and enjoyed the touching pool where they got to feed sting rays.

Awesome place for a short visit! Many things to do and see! There’s a touch you can touch stingrays! They’re so cute and playful! It’s a great place for kids!It is a small place, so don’t plan on this being an all-day excursion but it’s very inexpensive, educational and fun!!

A great time for a small price! Admission for a family of four cost roughly $26. You can start off with their bird center where they have pelicans, eagles, owls, and other birds of prey. From there you can enter the science center, which is handicap accessible. They have multiple aquariums and a turtle terrarium. The highlight is the sting ray tank, where kids can pet the friendly rays. From there, tourists can proceed to the viewing area for the sea turtle rehabilitation center. There’s also a classroom setting where you can view snakes, turtles, and learn a little biology about reptiles. They are currently building a new raptor (bird of prey) center. Just 15-20 minutes south of Daytona, FL. Just under the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse.

Great place! It's not very big but it has a good amount of cool exhibits. We really enjoyed feeding the stingrays! We got there for feeding time for the big birds so it was cool and mildly traumatizing to watch them pull the hair off the little rats but definitely interesting! Lol 🤣 Thank you all for rescuing the turtles and the other marine animals! 💚🙏🏼

Quite nice and informative. Nice to see the animals in recovery and they do let you feed the stingrays which is quite fun. I saw that some people had a guide and was wondering how we could get one too. It would have been nice to have had a guide so we could have learnt more about the animals. It shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours to finish this entire experience. $8 per adult.

Very interesting and fun! It is small but will definitely catch your eye. We went there and got to feed the stingrays and touch them. There was also a lady that educated us about their turtle rehabilitation center. Very cool!

This is a MUST visit if you love marine life. The value of the Marine Science Center is outstanding. Being able to to get up close with sting rays, watch seahorses get fed and learn all about their rehabilitation efforts is outstanding. Take a few hours and stop here if you’re at Ponce Inlet. Not only will you help support their efforts, you’ll learn something along the way.

The Marine Science Center was the high-light of my visit to Volusia County. In my mind it’s perfect. The entry fee is very reasonable ($35 for my family of 5) and for that reason we were able to shop in the gift shop! The exhibits were well done and very educational. My 11 year old son enjoyed the touch tank the most. The cow nose rays loved the attention. The most important part of our visit (and of the facility in my mind) was the rehab center for the turtles and the birds. I was especially impressed with how well the touch screen computer program communicates to visitors the stories of all of the patients!! I literally read EVERY ONE! Thank you for that!! If I lived in the area, I would love to volunteer and help take care of the animals!! Maybe week- long eco programs for volunteers??? Just an idea!

Though it is a smaller center than others I have been to we still had a great experience. Definitely go for feeding time. The kids really got a lot of joy out of feeding and petting the cow nose rays. They even pet a small spotted shark!

This was amazing I cannot recommend it more!! The staff was great and answered all of our questions. It was so fun to feed the sting rays. We got to pet them too and saw a lot of animals.

The little kids (12 & 14) enjoyed it as much as the big kids (38 & 39)! It was small enough to walk easily but big enough to be impressive. The bird exhibit was great and the ability to touch animals and see them up close was really great as well. The trail was short but also very nice!

Our kids loved the touch tank, and it kept them busy a good 45 minutes or so. Our middle child absolutely loves turtles and had a blast seeing them being fixed up at the turtle hospital. There were a few groups of what looked like daycare kids that were in and out of areas fairly quickly following a guide. It was like $30 for 5 of us to get in. There is a lot to read and listen to if you stick around for the feedings and information skits. You can easily spend a couple hours here with young kids or anyone interested in learning about wildlife restoration and preservation.

Always a pleasure to have the kids learning about ocean and it's creatures, feels like every time we go there we learn new facts! Small but well kept center, very good and courteous volunteers that are extremely helpful answering all the questions kids have! Thank you for all you do and helping kids appreciate ocean more!

We visited on a Sunday in January. It was not very crowded. The place is not very large, but there is a lot of really interesting exhibits to see if you are into this stuff. We loved the touch pool, saw the sea horses being fed, explored the sea turtle hospital, did the nature trail, and checked out the bald eagles in the bird sanctuary. We easily spent around 1.5 - 2 hours there. They also have a nice gift shop. I can't believe I've never been here before. I'm going to look into going back with my cub scout group.

The Marine science center is a small place with big experiences. The ray tank is everyone's favorite 😍. You can watch turtles get medical care, seahorses find a mate, and birds be rehabilitated. The informative lectures are incredible and hands on. Inspirational for both young and old. A great organization. Buy a season pass, it pays for itself in 3 visits.Look at their schedule for special events; including turtle releases.

I don't even know where to start. We took our daughter here today as sea turtles are her favorite animal. It was amazing!!! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and you could tell they all genuinely love their jobs. They went the extra mile putting on an off schedule reptile enteraction for my daughter as the next one wasn't for 2 hours and we were ready to go. The sting rays put on a show and were splashing us and being able to feed them was so cool. This place is worth checking and giving back to as the work they do is incredible.

Nice place. It's small and doesn't take a lot of time to go through. You can touch stingrays. View tanks of turtles from an observation deck that are hospitalized. They had several different species of owls, falcons and hawks to view. There were also different tanks of fish to view. Nice gift shop too.

Great little rescue and rehabilitation facility for marine life - specifically sea turtles. Very clean, very intimate setting with the marine life, and extremely knowledgeable volunteers. Definitely would go again and again.

If you have never gone GO! We went for turtle tots with my 2/4y girls and we had the MOST amazing time. I was greeted at the entrance by the most cheerful employee. We paid $7 and this should have cost more. We arrived early and we enjoyed the center, got to touch and feed the sea rays, saw the turtles being fed and got information from all the lovely employees. The amazing people of the program took us down the beach and had stations set up and even a tent for shade for reading time. I mean just amazing, every employee super fun and dedicated. My girls learned soooo much. We will be back. Thank your for a fun day!

Very family-friendly interactive learning center. Touch pool with sting rays were a highlight for the kids. I personally enjoyed the seahorse session by one of the interpreters. She was fabulous!!! Bird sanctuary and turtle ICU was eye opening to the real work being done behind the scenes.Small parking lot with overflow on the street. Took us 45 minutes to see and explore everything with a 10 yr old, teen and adults.Walked to lighthouse after for a nice afternoon out!

One of the best things to do in Ponce Inlet/Daytona, both with and without kids! You can feed stingrays, go see the sea turtle hospital and learn all about the current turtle patients and why protecting them is so important. See tanks with all sorts of sea creatures and visit raptor birds. They have different classes to sit in on at different times and a great gift shop. We love this place. We took our grandchildren.However, parking later in the day is terrible, so I suggest going first thing when they open.

Super fun experience for all ages! It wasn’t too busy and it was relatively cheap for me and my family of four. We got feed the sting rays which was really cool and the staff was super friendly and really great with kids. I loved all the stuff they had to offer and would come back and see it again. Although it is educational, it is also a rescue center so the are always rehabilitating animals to release back into the wild if they are able to. So take your kids here and see all the fish and seahorses and sting rays they have to offer. And sea turtles! And birds! It is a bit of a pet peeve of mine but I always want to mention a good bathroom when I see one. The bathrooms here were super clean, you can tell this is a place that is well taken care of. Really thought the staff was great.

Wow! So much to learn. Shell, Education Manager, is a walking source of energy, enthusiasm, and information. She was AWESOME interacting with us and presenting to the group. The turtle hospital is several tanks divided into different levels of care. It is very interesting to hear what they do to rehabilitate these special creatures. The sting rays are fun to watch. They are interactive with the humans around their tank. Little Gracie was quite the ham seeking attention. We were there at feeding time. Very educational and fun to watch. We even got to feed them! Cool experience!!! Fed the sharks (little ones) as well. We were also there at feeding time for the seahorses. Super neat and interesting to watch. The raptor ambassadors are beautiful with nice “homes”. Be sure to ask about them and why their environment is as such. There is also a seabird rehabilitation section. Though small. It’s wonderful as well. Great find and well worth the time and money. 2 hours and $7 each! Very accessible to all abilities.

We venture to discover new places here in Central Fl, so a time ago we saw this lighthouse from far and i wanted to find this place, i have been many times in Daytona Beach but never exploring the area. This place is a well maintained jewel, affordable we paid just$20 and we are 5 members, excellent for family with kids and you can learn more about this enigmatic place..Definitely i loved the experience but be ready to dare to go 203 steps inside the lighthouse..Beautiful site and views my kids have a blast here. 100% Recommended.

My family & I have been here twice since living here & both times we have really enjoyed it. The kids love climbing to the top of the lighthouse & the views are exceptionally breathtaking. The history & artifacts are interesting as well. Overall, this is a great place to stroll and look around w/ your family.

One of my favorite places on the east coast of Florida. Beautiful lighthouse w historic museum at the base. (Dont miss it, very interesting). The walk up the lighthouse will be rewarded with a marvelous panoramic view of the inlet and ocean. Then enjoy a walk on the beach... My favorite time is at night when the red color of the lighthouse shines as a bright beacon against the backdrop of the ocean waves and salty sea air. Later, take a walk down the jetty which can be absolutely breath-taking when stormy and waves thunder against the rocks.

This lighthouse is one of my favorites. So much history, the views are beautiful. My 9 year old son enjoyed it. They had an interactive part to understand the lighting of the lighthouse, which my son enjoyed.The grounds are very well kept. I wish I had more time to be there.I recommend visiting this lighthouse if you're in the area.

Very lovely ladies "manning" the gift shop. They were knowledgeable and helpful with an outstanding sense of humor. The property itself was very well maintained. The exhibits were informative. Clean bathrooms added to the positive experience. Lastly, if you can make it up 203 steps to the top of the lighthouse you will be rewarded with a beautiful 360° view of Florida's finest waterways. Admission was reasonable and military service is honored with a discount. Please consider donating while walking the different "museums". It's definitely for a good cause.

I love lighthouses. I live in Florida, and I am visiting as many lighthouses as I can. So far, this is one of the best ones, although I like all of them.The lighthouse is in amazing shape, and the grounds are also in great shape. The lens museum is one of my favorite exhibits, but there are so many different ones in the park.There are 203 brutal steps up to the top, but it is worth every single step. After the 1st 2 levels, we started resting at each level, catching our breath and letting our leg muscles settle down. Going down is much easier, but the angle of the staircase keeps you going slow.The employees in the gift shop are very friendly and love to chat and share lighthouse stories and information. Their knowledge of the lighthouse and it's history is amazing. This is both a very enjoyable and historic place to spend a day. I highly recommend it.For photographers, you get an amazing view from the top of the Atlantic Ocean, two inlets, the surrounding area, and you can even see Cape Canaveral on a clear day.This entire park is funded by donations only. I hope if you visit and love it as much as I do, you will donate if you are able. A little bit can go a long way.

If you are in the area - the lighthouse is absolutely worth the trip. Pay the money and go to the top for a great view from this operational lighthouse. It's a couple hundred steps but can feel like more if you're in shape. If you have a problems with heights you'll find it to be great therapy. I'm a lighthouse fan and one of my life-long fantasies has been to live in a lighthouse. I've been here many times going back to the late 70's.

This was a cool museum and there is other stuff to do here if you don’t want to climb all the steps to the top of the light house. There is a lot of cool history on the ground level. It’s really simple to find this place from Daytona, you just drive south until you can’t no more. They stop allowing guest at 8pm but shutdown at 9pm which makes this a perfect spot to watch the sunset. There are a lot of steps to the top so if for some reason you are even REMOTELY hesitant about if you can make it, don’t do it. The only was down when at the top is down the stairs again and they are steep. When you are at the top they did a good job of making it where you would have to really try to fall so I personally felt comfortable with my 4-6 year old but I don’t know if I would want to go up to the top with someone younger.

Very nice experience with a lot of history. The walk to the top was rough but the view was well worth it. Would definitely go back. Nice place to just sit and enjoy the quiet, peaceful silence.

We had an amazing time visiting the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse! We learned about the history and enjoyed the breathtaking views. It is a unique experience and beautiful place that shouldn't be missed.The Lighthouse:Climbing the lighthouse is a bit of a workout, but it's absolutely worth it. The panoramic views of the bay from the top are stunning. You can see for miles and really appreciate the beauty of the area. I would not recommend it if claustrophobic, or not in a good physical shape... it is a lot of steps and people, specially children, get tired.The Light Museum:The light museum has some interesting pieces that give you a glimpse into the history of the lighthouse and the lives of the keepers. It's educational and engaging, making it a great stop for both adults and kids.Overall Experience:We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The combination of the climb, the views, and the museum made for a memorable day. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore a bit of history and enjoy some fantastic scenery.

While climbing the lighthouse is lovely and definitely the highlight, I don't know if I wanted to pay that price (for 2 people it is 13.90) and the tour is self guided. The history was very interesting to read and see, but maybe $5 would be better. They do provide you with a map and their are restrooms available.

I really enjoyed this visit. 203 steps very hard but the view was so worth it. We had 90° weather so it was challenging. $6.75 to go in, you can also visit the lighthouse quarters, is a museum and so interesting. Plenty of parking and very nice at the gift shop.

$7 per person for the perfect cloudy day activity. The drive to the inlet alone was charming, just wait until you get to the lighthouse! You must enter through the gift shop and purchase a wristband before you reach the campus. Once you are in the campus, you are free to roam. The grounds have several houses turned museums, a building that displays the lighthouse lenses, a tiny nature preserve, a few other misc buildings as well as the lighthouse itself. I highly recommend visiting on a weekday when there may be less traffic. This will allow maximum enjoyment and time taking. You can climb all the way up the lighthouse which is the 3rd tallest active lighthouse in the U.S! There was a lot to learn about the history of the lighthouse and of the native Americans who once occupied the land. All of the staff/volunteers were super friendly. I’m so grateful that I was able to visit while I was in town. This place is a gem to be active and preserved generation after generation.

One of the most memorable places that my family and I went to during our stay. The climb wasn't bad, the view was totally worth it. I bought a beautiful compass at the gift store. It was a great memory to share with my family!

This place was a pretty cool spot to walk around and explore on site. The price is perfectly fitting for what there is to do. The walk up the Lighthouse was really cool as well. They are not joking around when they say you should be in somewhat good shape to climb to the top, cause it is a lot of stairs. The view at the top though is well worth the sore legs one may get from this trek to the top.

The walk up is a bit intense and not handicap accessible, but it's beautiful at the top and well worth the hike. The views were lovely and the trek down was much easier. The other buildings on the property were filled with interesting artifacts. In particular, we loved the room with all the old lights. Worth a stop!

Fantastic lighthouse, grounds and museum! It's a climb to the top but well worth the view and it's the tallest lighthouse I've been to. So happy to add another stamp to my lighthouse passport book. We visited in October during the Fall Homeschooling day so it was busy, but there were a lot of employees and volunteers around. Gift shop is pretty big and has a lot to offer. Bathrooms and parking are on site. Visiting during the weekday, we had no problem finding parking in the back lot.

Coming here was a bit of an accident. We were trying to save a red shouldered hawk with a broken wing. This little island was the only place that had a bird sanctuary that wasn't full. So my husband snagged up the bird, then came and got myself and our son for a day trip rescue mission. Coming over the bridge onto the island was so beautiful. Gorgeous blue beach as far as the eye can see, nestled behind a beautiful city. Coming here was like God rewarded us for being kind and saving the hawk. We enjoyed the afternoon at the lighthouse, learning all about it from the wonderful lady who works at the gift shop. We went to eat at the little beachside restaurant right around the corner from the lighthouse. It was such a cute place, and we met Joey the Egret, who enjoys eating his raw shrimp. You can order it for him off the menu and feed him yourself!! We had such a great time here and can't wait to come back and hopefully stay a few days. It's like a beautiful tourist town minus all the tourists. Lol BTW it had great prices because it's non profit. So go support our local lighthouse and enjoy a beautiful day at a not so busy beach!!

Amazing place to visit! I tried the lighthouse but wasn't about to climb it all the way as I stated feeling sick. I truly enjoyed all the buildings on site and learning about the refugees that come from Cuba. The gift shop was nice too.

The museum ticket window closes at 5 pm, so plan your trip accordingly.

Been here numerous times and the entire location is in amazing shape for a historic registered place.Ticket prices for access to the grounds, includes climbing the lighthouse, were very minimal.The view from the top is breathtaking, but you've got to climb 220-ish steps on a somewhat narrow staircase (4' wide spiral).The other buildings contained historic artifacts and information about nautical themes. Well displayed rooms set in their historic looks.The building containing the various types of lighthouse or signaling lamps was a plus, as they have a massive window wall that allows lots of light to come in and interact with the various shapes of glass lenses.There was enough parking when we were there, but might be an issue on a busy day.

A beautiful well-preserved lighthouse. Standing 175ft tall (2nd highest in the country behind 179ft Cape Hatteras Light) with a 203 step climb to the top. Museum grounds include numerous Keeper dwellings and the largest collection of Fresnel Lenses.Originally built in 1835, but through issues of not receiving the oil for the light and then the 2nd Seminole Indian War, the light collapsed when keepers were afraid to go make repairs. The 2nd light was completed in 1887 and is what you see today.

203 steps to the top, 5-8 minute climb. One of the tallest lighthouses in the US. The view is beautiful and well worth the climb........ Even for someone like me who's scared of heights. 😁 I climbed at my own pace (my husband and son went ahead of me) and when I got to the top, my husband held my hand the whole time. ❤️

If you are in the area, you don’t want to miss this attraction! We visited while on vacation, and so glad we did! The entry price is a great and affordable and allows you access to the lighthouse, but also to the other historic buildings on site which are mini museums. There is also a small nature trail which is beautiful and the turtles were quite a surprise. So much fascinating history to be learned, and the view from the top of the lighthouse is simply breathtaking! The restoration of the lighthouse makes it look like it is brand new but has been standing since 1887 if my memory is correct. The property is well kept and very clean. What an incredible experience we had!

Hands down the best preserved well kept and restored lighthouse we have ever been in. This lighthouse is 175 ft tall and has been fully restored. What Justice nice is the fact the grounds are well preserved with the lighthouse keeper and the two assistant homes in good condition. There are some great displays about the time. How they lived and just looking at the houses along with where they stored everything was very informative. You can go up to the top of this lighthouse but be ready for a good hard walk it will get your exercise for the day done.

I visited back in January and had a nice time there! I arrived a little bit after opening and had bought my ticket the night before on their website.This is the first lighthouse I climbed! And it made me want to climb as many as I can.There is so much to learn about on the property. I love history, so I really enjoyed that.It was quite busy and there is no control on how many are going up the lighthouse, so it was a little loud and crowded.I wish I would have climb up the lighthouse a second time but it just became a little over stimulating for me. I hope to come back again in the future and arrive earlier in the day.

If you are visiting the Daytona area make sure to add this beautiful well preserved lighthouse to your list of places to visit. From the friendly staff to the wonderful gift shop. This is a must see. The grounds are kept in beautiful clean condition. The lighthouse speaks for itself with towering majestic beauty itself.

Easily accessible from the Main Road, about 12 miles from downtown Daytona. It has plenty of free parking including for Handicap accessible Vehicles. The Museum and Grounds were immaculate and the Staff were Friendly and Knowledgeable.Restrooms are available and clean. There are also multiple drinking fountains.There is a fee of $7.00 per person to visit which was very fair.There is plenty to see besides the Lighthouse walk up, which we didn't find difficult as they have landings every so often if you need to rest.Finally the Gift shop is very nice and has plenty of items.If you like Lighthouses and History don't pass this up

The lighthouse museum & gift shop were a great place to capture some history. The lighthouse is open & one can climb to the top to catch an amazing view. The adjacent veteran's memorial park was extra special; a wonderful tribute to the local veterans 💙. One can easily spend an entire day here. It is most enjoyable & a great place for a family outing.

It was my first time getting to visit with my wife, and it was a cool experience. The staff was friendly. The walk up to the lighthouse wasn't too bad if you pace yourself. The view up top was super neat, and the breeze was wonderful. I would definitely do it again!

This was an impromptu family day trip visit on the way to the beach. It was an incredible time spent learning about this lighthouse and the history and work that went behind building it and up keeping it. We learned about the families and way of life throughout the years in this region, as well as, how this structure influenced our state’s growth. The view at the top was incredible but brace yourself for the hike up AND back down again.

What a great place to visit! The light station and the museum were so interesting and the building with the Fresnel lenses was AMAZING... absolutely spectacular.Also, the 'Hidden Treasure' restaurant, not too far from the lighthouse, was delicious with fantastic views of the inlet!

If you love American history, this place is a unique part of our history. The museum is comprised of 6 buildings where the Lighthouse keeper and his family lived and worked. Make sure if you are physically capable to go to the top of the Lighthouse. Awesome view!

Great experience here! We learned so much about the history and working of the lighthouse from guides all over the place (on the top of the lighthouse and within each of the buildings. I am not sure if this was normal or if it was a special day, but it was fantastic (we went on a Saturday). Very responsibly priced in comparison to other lighthouses and it is the best!

The lighthouse is nice but all I saw was the souvenir store!Grounds are nice.Nearby there's access to water and that place is nice we saw a turtle in the water!

Great museum and be prepared to walk. I would recommend wearing good walking shoes. Every house has air conditioning and seats available inside. The stairs to the lighthouse are very steep and small, but the breeze and view up there is totally worth it! The gift shop is also nice and you can find affordable items. Overall, it was a good time and enjoyable experience!

It was a wonderful experience. We decided to go canoeing/kayaking around the island and it was really great the wind was out to get us but beautiful scenery nonetheless. The camp sites are open and maintained no power but you're trying to escape from that so I enjoy it.

The best Florida state park I have stayed at. Quiet and serene with great manicured hiking trails. Best of all I saw zero trash in the park, even deep in the woods. I am almost afraid to post a review; I don't want to many people to know about it.

Used to love coming to this park. But thanks to hurricane and change of staff and management, this park is run down. They don't take care of it anymore. Every single trail is closed, camping closed, no ferry to the island. This park used to be wonderful but it has gone downhill. Please get a better manager and better staff!! The crew from 4 years ago used to be amazing. We boated in a couple of weeks ago and everyone was sitting around on their laptops.. This is such a shame and these people should be ashamed of themselves.

We found this place by accident we were actually going to Blue Springs Park but they were closed because they were full. Our lucky day we found this Hidden Gem and put our kayaks in the water here and had a great time. Don't forget to visit the visitor center across the way, you can take a ferry over there and they also rent canoes and kayaks and have hiking trails.

Really nice experience, the ferry to the island is free and they accept donations, everyone we met was super chill and polite. Turns out they also have what they refer to as primitive cabins for reasonable prices to rent out. Would easily return again with friends and donations.

I loved this little island approximately 40 minutes from Orlando. Free ferry ⛴ over only 6 at a time so you may have to wait. State park run by volunteers so be patient. Once you cross there are great areas to picnic and play and a little store with comfy rockers out front overlooking water. Dog and kid friendly and nice easy walking path through old growth and new growth areas. They also rent kayaks, bikes, and affordable cabins. I was on my way to Blue Springs State Park and they were full, this park is approximately 20 minutes from there and well worth checking out. I have included many pics. Always a great place to visit. Playground and picnic area, small visitor center, walki g trails, bike rentals, marina, clean restrooms, rocking chairs. Great place to stop and relax. Unfortunately, the island was flooded a few months ago, and the camping area and visitor center will not reopen until late August.

Only 4 stars because you have to use your own boat, no ferry anymore.

Of course it was closed as usual on Sunday. They could at least leave the bathroom doors unlocked when boaters come ashore. My granddaughters enjoyed playing on the playground. We also enjoyed rocking in the rocking chairs outside on this beautiful Mother’s Day.

Despite being a friday it was quite calm and quiet. The trails are well maintained and easy to hike. The recent rains had water up on a trail (which was marked as being a wet trail) at some places however it was still easy and in the lowest spots there were walkways in place. The cabins looked well maintained from the outside and were a easy walk from where you enter the park. As for price to enter, it was the best price, free, although they do accept donations. All in all a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

This was the most wonderful day my son and I have had in a long time. You start with a short ferry ride to the island, captained by an extremely welcoming and informative park ranger. As you dock, there is a massive playground to your left, canoes to rent to your right, and just ahead of you is a building containing a ranger's station, a gift shop, and a visitor's center which is like a room of a museum (that alone held the attention of my 9 year old and myself for quite some time). Apon the suggestion of the ranger that ferried us over, we headed to the right towards the hiking trail. There are several miles of trails on the island most hard dirt roads but the hiking trail avgs 36“ in width and involves some jumping and balancing but only to get around black muck filled low-lying areas (which only adds to the adventure). We saw an array of different birds on our trip, brave birds that were not startled by my excited son's voice. There is all sorts of wildlife in the island including deer, gator, and bear but we didn't run into anything of the sort. We spent 5 hours hiking and walking around the park. On our way back to ferry we passed through to camping area that boasted more than a dozen firepits, grills, and camping sites including cabins. There are bathrooms and showers situated in the middle of the large camping area. We decided that we will be renting one of those cabins before the summer hits. If you like fishing, look no further, there are two rivers and a lake off her shores. The only thing I regret is not having cash on me to donate to the park, I won't make that mistake next time (which could be today, they are open 365 days a year).

I truly enjoyed my visit to this park after waiting for almost three months for it to reopen, it didn't disappoint. The island is so serene and relaxing. The staff was all very helpful and nice. The park was clean and well-managed. Loved the short ferry ride and the trail hike . The nature trail was still closed but there are other routes you could take to get to the mounds, and the other side of the river. Saw different kinds of birds along the way. The Visitor Center is a great place to learn about the history of the island and its wildlifes. I couldn't recommend it enough, and it's only a short drive from Orlando!!! I will definitely be back.

This place is amazing..Everyone is so friendly. The ferry runs every couple minutes.. The park rangers and staff make sure this place is clean and everyone is so helpful they even have boat and bike rentals. Wonderful camping sites. And cute cozy cottages. I will return here again and again. Wonderful hiking trails. For a nice bike ride or a quiet peaceful walk. They have a 5k trail anda 10k trail. And too see all the aninals..

We visited the Stetson Mansion today for the Christmas Spectacular Holiday Home Tour and it was fantastic! Highly recommend the guided tour with JoAnn to learn more about the decorations and a little history about the house. Her infectious personality and storytelling made our visit even more enjoyable.Each and every room, even the kitchen and bathrooms have a dedicated theme. The attention to detail and the creativity behind each room is truly amazing. I especially loved all the inspirational sayings sprinkled throughout the house. Definitely a must visit and our family will surely make this an annual holiday tradition.

A must see! Beautiful house. They still had holiday deco up so I want to see it without all of the decorations to get the real feel of the house and architecture. It was tastefully done though.

Visiting the Stetson is always a treat, but especially at Christmas to see JT's talent on display! Beautiful decor highlights the historic home & is a joy. We took the guided tour & were treated to a heartfelt story from JT in the dining room about what Christmas meant to him & his family. Our guide for the rest of the home was knowledgeable & entertaining. Photos aren't allowed inside, but trust me when I say you won't be disappointed!! It's a sight to experience 🎄

We took the guided tour and I highly recommend it. Our guide was such a delight. She truly loved the place and gave us so much detail on the planning and history of both the house and the Stetson family. Plus her descriptive narrative was riddled with humor which kept us interested and made the tour more pleasurable. The 10 decorated rooms were amazing. Each room had a different theme from the others and from years past. We were delightfully impressed and I believe will make this tour an annual Christmas tradition.

Fabulous Christmas decor and a surprise pop-in by JT the owner who does all the decorating. Try to go to the 7:00 p.m. guided tour as it is special. Each room has its own decor starting with angels and cardinals in the Grand Staircase in the entry, Department 56 layered on a tiered tree, Snobabies filling up a bedroom and the kitchen dedicated to military heroes, just to name a few of the rooms. Such a beautiful sight it is still racing through my mind two days later. A must tour in the central Florida area as it is also one of Florida's most historical homes and the first to have electricity installed by Thomas Edison himself.

An amazing beautiful home with the most wonderful Christmas decorations anyone could imagine. It’s said that it takes 3 months to decorate the home and the passion and love shows.The only downside is that there is no photography allowed inside the home.

My sister and I took our mother as a Christmas present. She absolutely loved it, she had to use her walker to get around. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful getting her though it because we had to take our time to get her through. We would recommend it anytime.

The Proprietor spent 3 months decorating this home in a Christmas theme. Each room was intricately decorated, and we participated in a delightful guided tour. The Proprietor himself even came to visit and gave us some heartwarming background stories about the mansion and some of the decorations. Southern Hospitality at its best--when I had to take a break from walking and standing, the other Proprietor brought me a picture book of the mansion rooms, and I was able to scan the QR code to get my very own audio tour while sitting comfortably on the beautiful front porch. :) Truly a stunning home!

Absolutely Amazing tour of this beautifully restored mansion, but to personally see the amount of Christmas creations strategically & thoughtfully placed in each room, nook & cranny was such a treat! It's expensive, but we really wanted to go to see the over-the-top Christmas decorations that this place is known for. We signed up online a couple weeks ago and paid then. Yesterday, the day before our visit, we received an email that revealed some things about our visit, set for today. It recommended using restrooms off property before arriving. The mansion's only restroom facility the public could use was a portable outdoor unit out in the parking lot. The other thing the email warned against was arriving more than 20 minutes early. It said parking was limited and the gates would only be opened at certain times. This was not an issue as we were early and parked easily and without hassle. We assembled briefly on the porch and started touring the inside of the mansion. Photos were prohibited inside (also stated in the email). We moved from room to room on the mansion's first and second floors as we listened to the tour's audio on our phones, which were browsed a lnk provided in that email. The audio program was the owner's own narration of the decorating job that he took the past 3 months doing himself. We thought the decorations were spectacular and captured both the Christmas spirit and the Stetson family history. Also there was a nice patriotic salute to servicemen near the end. It was all so well done and made us glad we visited the "mansion that hats built" today.

We came to the mansion because it was on a haunted house list. When we arrived the house was locked but the gate was open. There was a sign outside that says scan for self-guided tour. We went to the door to see if it was unlocked and it was locked. We walked around the house a bit and found a staff member. Explain to her that we were interested in seeing the inside of the house because it was on a haunted tour list. She was not happy that it was on a haunted house list and did not seem very friendly with us. She didn't explain that the self-guided tour was the Christmas tour and was $35 per adult and $20 for children. We felt that was a bit high. We took some pictures on the outside and when we went to leave she had locked us inside the property by closing the gate up and locking it. The staff member came to the gate to unlock it for us because we were sitting in front of it and there were people outside trying to come in for the tour. I think this property could be ran better than how it is being run.Follow us for more great reviews ™

Wow!!!! Came here for the Christmas decorations and got so much more! The mansion by itself is unbelievable, the time and dedication it must take to maintain this beautiful historic home is beyond comprehension! The Christmas decorations what can I say WOW! Each room has a unique style and theme to it. Hard to pick a favorite room or design! We crossed paths with JT the owner and designer of the displays. He is a very talented artist and designer. We visited the Stetson Mansion during their Christmas Spectular, and it was beautifully decorated. The combination of the Mansions history, its restoration, and the Christmas decorations was awe-inspiring. The word Spectacular only comes close to describing what was experienced. This is a must-see!!

I have taken both the Xmas guided tour and the Historical tour. The Xmas tour is fun for those who enjoy decor. It’s very thought out with a lot of fun items to find. There are always different themes each year. But the best tour in my opinion is the Historical tour which is sadly coming to an end in a couple of weeks.The Historical tour takes you through the by history of the Stetson family, interesting facts about the home, and a discussion about his work as a hatter. Our most recent tour guide, Jo Ann, did an amazing job taking us from room to room and answering every question that the group had. At the end of the tour we purchased both books to take home and continue learning about the history of such an amazing home.The only downside of the tour is that you cannot take photos inside, but being that this is a private residence, and is only funded by tours, it is understandably why they ask for privacy.

Very cool place to see a concert. We saw an Eagles tribute band and they were great. Theater is historic and only holds a few hundred people. Very intimate setting. We'll certainly be going back!

Our first time at the Athens Theater and we were so pleased with this historic gem! I was so impressed with the venue and the friendly people that work there. The Fleetwood Mac Experience was out of this world amazing! Super talented musicians who know how to connect with the audience. What an extremely enjoyable evening listening to a wonderful group of musicians. My hubby and I had a blast! Will definitely be back for sure!

I can’t possibly say enough great things about the Athens Theatre Youth Academy! My daughter started attending summer camps a couple of years ago and it has branched out into musical theater class and private vocal lessons. She has learned so much from their incredible teachers who really go above and beyond in their efforts with all of these kids from all varying age & skill levels and most importantly she has had the best time doing it! She is already counting the minutes until this year’s summer camps begin! Thank you so much for providing a safe, fun, inclusive environment for all of the local children to grow and to shine!

An awesome little venue, built in the 1920's, I have gone by this location many times in the past but had never been inside, I had the chance to see a James Taylor tribute inside and loved it, the acoustics were wonderful as was the environment

This is my 3rd play so far here and all have been very well done. They do many events here besides plays as well. It's really awesome our town still utilizes this orig theater and is still around after so many years.

What nice theatre, every seat is good, we went and saw "Fleetwood Gold" - superb performance!! I "do vaguely remember"😀 seeing the original group back in the 60-70s and Gold was right on with the music! The Athens was their very first gig, and now a return performance! And then to top it off, they go out front and meet the patrons... high class in my book!!

EVERYTHING about the theatre and the play CLUE was EXCELLENT! Every member of the staff was very nice and this historic theatre is beautiful! EVERY ONE of the actors gave a GREAT performance tonight. BRAVO! It couldn’t have been better. The show is well written and was engaging the whole time. The entire crowd laughed and cheered more than any performance I can remember ever attending. It really was WONDERFUL and I hope you hurry and purchase your tickets as soon as you’re done reading this so you don’t miss out. I may have to see this one again before it ends. And I love this theatre so much that I already have tickets to see Elf. Thank you ALL for a job well done and providing my friend and I with a delightfully enjoyable experience!

We went to see the rocket man show. It was an awesome show can't wait till next year when he returns again. There is plenty of parking and some nice restaurants within walking distance of the theater. We had a great time and you will too.

We saw "Misery" last night, September 29th. The play was wonderful, and the actors were superb. We were 4 "cousin" couples, and everyone really enjoyed it.The theater itself is very pretty, and the staff is terrific.

Went for the first time to see a tribute band to Kiss, and it was great! Very nice venue and it was on the smaller side which we liked. All the seats were good view. We will go see another show in the future.

Such a lovely venue.Acoustics were spot on.We were in the uppermost row in the balcony still great viewing.Large parking on the side and municipal parking across the street.Beverage service as well...if so inclined.

I would give them five if they had an elevator.All shows have been professional level with extremely talented artist, beautiful sets and great variety.You can see the millions they poured into the restoration. It's a beautiful, well preserved piece of history.The prices are a little high for what's considered community theatre but it's worth it.Tip: if it's not a performance you need to watch the slightly obstructed views are a great savings but beware there is no elevator or handicap access to the balcony.

Had a wonderful time at Athens theater for the tribute to Pink Floyd called the Surrogate Band. The staff were very helpful and friendly! The band sounded excellent and put on a great show with laser lights and a wonderful sound. The refreshments were reasonably priced. There is also a very good pizza place right nearby. Lots of really interesting shows coming up. Will definitely be coming back for more . A great experience!

A great organization. The folks that work/volunteer here are so much fun and delightful. The concert we saw was top notch and for an older theatre, the chairs and seating were quite comfortable. First class experience all around! Thank you.

Travelled to Deland from Palm Beach County for Brothers Again - Allman Bros tribute band and it did not disappoint! Comfortable seating, great parking and conveniently situated in walking distance to restaurants. The acoustics were good and their was a bar in the lobby and inside the theater for beer and wine. The restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. Great venue!

WIsconsinites visited your lovely theatre to see Fleetwood Mac which was excellent! Major disappointment with large group of inebriated women sitting behind us. Loud talking & laughing entire show. Asked them several times to allow us to enjoy show but to no avail. Plan on returning next year but will try to get box seats

This place is so great. Now I'm not gonna lie, but it it's a small place. However the collection they have is extremely impressive. All of their snakes are amazing and are well taken care of. We saw snakes that I have only seen on tv but ones that I have always wanted to see. The main attraction is the venom extraction. We saw them work with a coral snake, copperhead, cotton mouth and a cobra today. I cannot tell you how impressed I was watching them work with those creatures. Before the show they had some snakes for everyone to hold and touch which was a great experience for my boys. There is a nature trail here that we unfortunately did not get to today, but will in the future. Besides snakes, they have turtles, geckos, lizards and alligators. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Also a special thank you to both Carl and Mara (sorry if I butchered your name!), for taking the time to answer all of my kids questions. It really meant a lot to him and to us!! It was great talking to you!

This place is AMAZING!They offer an interactive experience with snakes (if you want) and the venom extraction is so interesting!Great explanation of each venomous snake, the process, and the different uses of the venom. The discovery trail is well kept and has a lot to see up close. A wonderful time for kids and adults.

I wish I could rate this place higher than 5! This was such an incredible & educational place to visit! I enjoyed the venom milking & seeing all the beautiful snakes. I even got to hold 2 of the sweetest snakes! Carl & Mara are so amazing & well rehearsed for this important job, helping in the production of antivenoms! 1000/10 recommend. I also enjoyed all the other tortoises, lizards, frogs & gators too of course

The amount of venom the Dr extracts from the snakes is mindblowing. Never seen anything like this ever. Kids of all ages will love this place but try real hard to make it for the venom shows. Also don't forget the nature trail in the back!

We really enjoyed this center and will be back. It's educational for all ages, my daughter is 3 years old and us adults really liked the anti-venom lab and demonstration. The outside discovery trail was great for our daughter to run around and explore with us.

Really cool place to visit if you love reptiles. There's lots of snakes and has a nice outdoor trail with reptiles to look at around the walk. Place is clean and I was very impressed to see how healthy every single animal was!! That's awesome to see and I really appreciate the care they put in this place. The place isn't big, but you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend! 8 Stars

This place was great! I learned so much about snakes and anti-venom! They took the time to answer a bunch of questions for us! The owners are obviously very knowledgeable about snakes. They rescue turtles here too! We had so much fun! 🤩✨ Would definitely recommend! Thank you so much! ❤️

Amazing! Carl, Mara, & Max were extremely knowledgeable/informative & very personable with each visitor attending. I am very impressed with this facility, & it’s clear this team has a strong, devoted passion for what they contribute, & how they go about doing so.Before & after their venom extraction showing, there are multiple venomous species of reptiles ranging from vipers, elapids, colubrids, & even helodermatidae to safely observe. I was finally able to observe a personal favorite, the Rinkhals (Hemachatus haemachatus) at their facility. They also offer nonvenomous species to observe, such as the impressive yellowtail cribo, & many tortoises!I will return in hopes of seeing their taipan next time, & I will continue to send my tours their way to help further educate individuals about snakes, the vital role they play in our ecosystem, & how their venom is used in modern day medicine.Thank you!

SO COOL!!!!Let me start off by saying… I am terrified of snakes… always have, more than likely, always will be!! But when my kiddo saw The Reptile Discovery Center on an episode of Coyote Peterson, she asked if we could go! We made a day trip of it….The Reptile Center is well kept, has so much to see, and it also has a lot of educational information around it as well( extra bonus points coming from a homeschooling Mom!!). Every interaction we had with staff was great! We were a little disappointed when we arrived to be told the morning “milking of snakes” show would not be happening due to a family emergency. However it would happen later in the afternoon. We were able to hang around until the 3:30 show. Carl and his wife did not disappoint!!! They were so welcoming and answered all questions anyone had. I know they have more than likely been asked the same question multiple times, but they never answered the questions like they had been!We left the Reptile Discovery Center with a new knowledge of various snakes and one happy little girl!!It’s worth the trip to this establishment, even if you are afraid of snakes!!

What a fantastic field trip! Mara and all of the staff were incredibly patient with our slew of children and all very kind. The venom extraction process was fascinating and would highly recommend!

This is a great place. Clearly they care about their animals. The displays of live animals were interesting. We got to handle a couple of lovely snakes. But the best part is the venom extraction demonstration. Fascinating and unusual and a bit horrifying -- the snakes not necessarily delighted by the process. Questions afterwards clearly and respectfully answered. Recommend to everyone.

I brought my 10- and 7-year old sons - they loved getting to hold the snakes and watch the venom extraction process.Carl and Mara (who ran the exhibit) are as knowledgeable as I could imagine. Such a great experience, with incredible information about snakes and wildlife.Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about reptiles and even those who would like to be less fearful of snakes.

Super fun and informative experience! We were able to watch live venom extractions from multiple types of snakes as well as hold a rat snake and ball python. We spent approximately two leisurely hours checking out all the reptiles indoors and on a pretty nature walk I highly recommend The Reptile Discovery Center to people of all ages!

So cool! They do important work! Watching them milk venomous snakes to send to a lab for anti venom was the coolest, most informative , exhilarating display I’ve seen in any kind of zoo/museum/discovery Center. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!

1sr time at the beach here. The water is very clear. It’s busy on the weekend of course but great for a day at the beach with family. We went Saturday but it started raining and Sunday tide came but we had time enough to enjoy the beach!!!

Save your money not worth it.. unless you bring everything there is nothing to do here. The water is nice and the beach is relatively clean but other than that it's not worth it. It's packed and loud, no shade or any attraction, not really any where to get food. and despite the fact that on the website it says there are designated areas where you can take your dogs there are none and you will get kicked off the beach, after they take your money and let you on it

Definitely one of my go to places mainly because I can park on the beach!!

Been coming here for 40 plus yrs. Still amazed at the size of this beach. It's never crowded, anytime of the day. It's a gradual walk into the water, no drop off. Perfect for kids. Lots of places to stay and eat. The pier is so much fun on a Saturday night.You can't beat this place!

I normally avoid this are of Daytona, it is where the party seen is. Although I went today seeing how last minute we decided to go watch the sunrise so we did and then hung around the beach for a few hours. The beach was dirty the people that go there to party unfortunately do not clean up after themselves! There was a man passed out in the sand as well, clearly from the night before and yes I made sure he was alive and gave him some water and he went back to sleep without a care in the world. Do your part and clean up your trash.Otherwise it was a great trip. We enjoyed the sunrise and we spent a couple of hours getting some vitamin D. Kudos to the workers on the beach they where out early picking up the trash and emptying bins doing their best to clean it up so BIG THANKS for that. I would advise going further away from the boardwalk for family’s just my opinion but as always we had a great time.

Daytona beach really surprised me! I loooved getting to spend time in the water and just relaxing. Very chill and family vibes. The sand is white and the water is clear enough for me. I would definitely go again and visit!

If you are planning to visit this beach, do not search “Daytona Beach” we got confused as Daytona beach is a city name. You need to search by including “World famous” in it, and it’s for a reason! You can drive in your car around the shore for $20. The beach is very clean and calm. If you have enough time do spend an evening there, you will never get bored of this calmness. We saw all kinds of people having fun, camping, dancing, modeling and making best of their time. There are limited parking outside the entry gate, it’s better to take ticket and drive at the shore. A must go if you are around Orlando

Very clean beach, never crowded and the water is always fun to play in. If you are lucky enough, you can catch dolphins swimming near the shore in the morning.

The ‘Worlds Most Famous Beach Daytona Beach’ sign is nice and all but really the beach is pretty good and totally worth a visit; don’t just snap the sign and leave. Mostly blue water, light sands and great to see everyone social distancing. waves looked fairly gentle, a lot of fishing and a lot of families having good times in the sun. Beach umbrella rentals doing a roaring trade when I was there.

Driving on the beach is a different experience. But other than that, nothing special about the beach. Very congested place. Unclean beach. No easy access to showers or washrooms. People blasting music with loud speakers and smoking everywhere. Can’t even breathe fresh air at the beach due to the cigarette smell. Jacksonville and St.Augustine beaches are so much better. Daytona is an overhyped place.

This area (experiencing a high rise construction boom) has become run-down, with little variety in cheesy souvenir shops, T-shirt shops and bars predominant. Everywhere we walked we inhaled the secondhand skunky-stink of pot smoking tourists. Ugh. The beach itself was a mess with trash - tossed cups and food rinds littering the sand. Sidewalks are grimy - City of Daytona Beach, you should be ashamed..! Hire people to rake the beaches and use pressure washers on those sidewalks.! Disgusted by the condition - we will never return here..!

Came by to walk the pier and check out the food. The whole beach smells like smoke and garbage. It feels super dirty so you won’t have an appetite. The beach did look like a great spot to play in the sand and had great waves.

Beautiful area! The public beach is a little crowded but if you stay at a condo or hotel on the beach it's absolutely wonderful.

Miles of old worn-down and poorly-aging condominiums dot the highway. The place needs a major face-lift and more recreational and modernized dining options. Some of the high rises are so close to the waterline, it looks like they are about to fall in. In December, this place is a ghost town.

It's a huge beach, everything is clean. I rested under the bridge and saw a lot of people walking around. It was very fresh being down there.I didn't swim because of the strong waves and also we found some jellyfish on the sand, they're dangerous.Near the beach, you'll find many stores to get souvenirs and different stuff.There's a slingshot and other attraction if you want to take a ride..

Although I got a sunburn, it was a pretty great day. The beach is beautiful. We went in the morning and were able to find a parking spot closer to the beach. And they even had lifeguards on duty to protect everyone, they were actually blowing their whistles and getting on to people who were getting closer to the boardwalk. Great Beach to collect shells.

We visited this spot during Christmas and one of the best beach area in east Florida. We walked around the beach it was cool breeze and relaxing. This pier is amazing during sunrise! The sun rises in front of you and the vast of the ocean leaves you in awe. Breathe taking views!! The walk is not bad at all and there is free parking everyday until 9am. So get there early to see the sunrise! You will thank me later.

A lively and fantastic pier on Daytona Beach! Plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from! Safe, clean and very beautiful! Prices are fairly reasonable for a Florida beach. Not very crowded as it was on a weekday evening. Plenty of attractions and hotels nearby. Staff and employees were very helpful and very friendly! Very beautiful at night! Highly recommend making a visit here if you are in the Daytona area!

We visited during an off season and the beaches are fairly clean. Parking was easy and there is a lot of shopping. A must do to see spectacular sunrises!!

This pier was nice. The Boardwalk was nice too. The parking is $2 for an hour (it goes up from there, but I only paid for an hour). Dogs may be allowed on the boardwalk, but they are not allowed on the pier. To walk onto it is also free, and it closes by 7pm. You do not need to go inside the restaurant to walk onto the pier, there's a walkway right near the entrance that will take you around. Fishing is $3 per person I believe.

Daytona Beach offers plenty of places to eat and drink. The beach is amazing. You can pay to park on the beach for $20. Keep an eye on the tide times. Parking outside of the beach is difficult unless you go to main street and park in the public parking and walk down. (Approx 10 min walk) Main street offers plenty of small shops , food and drinks. Go on event dates like Bike Week and it's really good fun and full of bikes showing off their mods. Well worth visiting if visiting. Parking in the local multi story will cost you $10 for the day. Overall if your in the area or thinking of visiting it's a nice afternoon/ day

The pier is surrounded by plenty of ships and restaurants with a restaurant directly in the middle of the pier. It has a small splash pad right below the entrance for small children. You can fish on the end of the pier and they have signs posted of what type of fish you might catch along with which ones you can keep and which ones you are required to release which I found very useful. There were several people fishing and we enjoyed watching them. It is a pretty long pier that gives you nice views of the ocean, beach, and the condos and hotels that are on the beachfront. If you enjoy taking pictures, the pier is a wonderful place to do so! It offers beautiful landscape, nature, and waterfront photo ops, so don't forget your camera or make sure that your phone is charged because you don't want to miss out on capturing some beautiful views!

Nice ⛱️ beach...some call it "the world's most famous beach"...but here's the thing: When the waves are active, you CAN'T swim there! Like there's no way! If you're familiar with Rockaway Beach in NY on a winter day, you know what I'm talking about 😁...But great spot for family, fun, and surfing.

Such beautiful views. The night we went out, the pier closed a bit early for cleaning, which we loved to gear they were maintaining it well. We spent the evening on the beach near the pier. It was a lot of fun and we met some nice people.

The pier was not overly full when we visited midday the day before the Daytona 500. There were just a few people fishing, and it was a nice little walk.

We visited the Main Street Pier on a weekday in January, 2024. It was pretty much what I expected in most regards. I have been to quite a few piers over the years, and they all have the similar qualities being over the water with great views. So this one was pretty much the same. It was a cool and partly cloudy when we visited, with temperatures at the beach in the 70's to 80ish in the afternoon.This pier had a large Joe's Crab Shack restaurant in the middle of the pier. Other piers like the Santa Monica pier in California also have restaurants and such to a larger (and better) extent. In this case, the crab shack is basically the only building on the pier. Where as the Santa Monica pier has many choices. So the Main Street Pier is nice, but not overly large and with limited things to do on the pier itself.The Main Street Pier seemed to be in need of some maintenance, in my opinion. The wood seemed to be aging and looked to be in need of some replacement. I'm not saying that anything looked unsafe. Only that it looked like it could use some work. There were quite a few places where there were what seemed like patches on the decking, made of materials that looked nothing like the wood decking.We were interested in the restaurant, but they didn't have a menu outside available to pre-view. As such, we passed and ate elsewhere. So I cannot say how anything pertaining to the crab shack was, other than the lack of the outside menu.The pier had quite a few folks fishing off the pier on the ocean side, for the obvious reasons. But there was still a fair amount of room to take in the views and snap a few pictures. The fishermen kind of kept to themselves, but didn't prevent other folks seeking views or such.I don't know for sure, but there might be restrooms in the crab shack building. Although they are probably only for the crab shack customers. Like I said, I don't know since we didn't go inside. Although there are public restrooms right at the beach end of the pier at the park. They seemed fairly large and adequately clean when we visited. Although I will point out that the area was quiet that day. It might be different when the crowds increase.So all in all, the Daytona Beach Main Street Pier is a nice place to visit when you're in the Daytona Beach area. No it is not perfect and far from the best pier I have been to. But it is definitely worth a walk on. We also were not asked to pay a charge to visit the pier. Well other than our paying to park our vehicle near by at the park.

We had a great date night long the shore! Ate at The Roof restaurant above Joe's crab shack. Beautiful views at sunset, from the rooftop.

This is a wonderful place to visit in DB. It's a bit old which is why it didn't get 5 stars. But the views are amazing and there are fishing spots available. The restaurant is lovely and has delicious local dishes. The rooftop lounge is a lot of fun and often has live bands. It has terrific service too, as does the restaurant.

Great view of the ocean and beach from this pier. The restaurant os also very good. I would give 5 stars if there was rentals for fishing here.

This place was dead this weekend. We LOVED THAT EVEN MORE! THE employees were all kind and we had a great day.

I wish there weren't awful hatt Preachers right out in front of the hotel where I was at. But I sure had fun with the Hare krishnas when those awful people tried to attack. I do feel bad that your race car Beach is almost non-existent because of sea level rise. All of the stairs have been taken out because of it except for one set where the hate preachers are.

I stayed at the ocean walk (south tower). Please do not book here. My family, 5 people were shocked. The service was poor and the room was not clean and dusty. I brought a cargo for my car and the security told me that it was too tall for the parking garage and suggested that I should remove it. I was okay with that and asked them if they had a storage unit I could place it in. They said that they have a storage unit, but they were used. They told me to either park my car somewhere else or take the cargo off and bring to the balcony. I didn’t want to park away from the hotel because it was far and inconvenient. I asked if I could have assistance bringing the cargo upstairs and they said no because the doorbell guy didn’t work for oceanwalk but for wyndham. I was very upset. The room smelled like dust and my son has asthma and was sneezing and coughing almost the whole time. The room was very outdated and old. The sofa was wore out and torn on the side. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower curtain was moldy, water pressure was very poor and the room only came with one roll of toliet paper. I asked for toliet paper at guest services and they said they would sent some for me to my unit. I waited an hour and came back down to ask again. They said that they would “talk to the owner” and then said that they couldn’t bring toliet paper to me, and they I went to talk to the security and they said to wait and then disappeared. I was very upset how my room only came with one trash bag and one roll of toliet paper for 5 people and 4 nights. When I went to the pool, they said that oceanwalk doesn’t provide towels and that I should use my own and the ones in the hotel room. This was not worth my time and money. I really do not suggest this place to anyone. Save your time and money somewhere else.

I remember when this resort opened up. I live a couple of towns away. The place is falling apart. We told the lady at check in that I was disabled and they told us that they were out of rooms. We got a room the furthest away from the elevators. It was very upsetting they claim that the lazy river is heated and it’s not. So at night. If you want to go for a lazy float you’ll be freezing. I used to love this place. They need to use their maintenance fees correctly to fix up the place.

It's one of our favorite vacation spots. Have stayed twice in last two weeks and both times they assured us we would have room between floors 4 and 7 and ocean front. Even flaged the reservation and still gave our room away. Love the place, but who ever is in charge of room assignments, we feel has gone down hill. Also...feel it was better before became affiliated with Travel and Leisure and we've been coming for 17 years.

The place itself is great. Very clean and spacious. However, if you book through VRBO and the rental management company says VACASA, do NOT book that property!! There is some dispute between Ocean Walk and Vacasa and even though you'll be paid in full and have a reservation number, you will be turned away! 27 of us were displaced. We were notified upon check in that Ocean Walk will not honor our reservation even though we were paid in full and have emails/texts from vacasa with our room numbers. We were all turned away. Some of us had the reservations for 6-12 months! I would recommend booking directly through an owner if possible. Some of us booked through VRBO and the property we chose wasn't managed through Vacasa and those reservations were fine. Just be on the look out for if it's managed by Vacasa

The Resort is good the only problem I had this year which I know was my fault. But when you leave something behind there lost and found can not find my items. I was told numerous time they always turn in stuff they find. Well I guess they were not so honest when they found my belongings. Call security numerous times and the last call I was told they would call me back no matter the out come. No call back was made 😡🤬advice make sure you double triple check your room before you leave.

The amount of people that have to share 3 elevators bc 1 is out of order is absurd.Be prepared to spend most your trip waiting on elevators.Rooms are sub par stocked, so being your own cooking utensils. Ice maker don't work.Just a mediocre service for the amount of money paid for the rooms.Never again

This place stole money from me, they are dishonest .ln my stay my air conditioner in my room broke on 4 separate occasions. Kept having to cut vacation short to come back to room for a technician. Explained to the manager Daniel at the front desk I wanted to check out a day early because it just wasn’t worth the trouble no more as it was no longer a vacation. He apologized and told me that the money would be refunded to my credit card for the day I did not stay. Over a month later I’ve left messages and had to open a credit dispute which the hotel claims they’d never promised and denied. Morally corrupt. Be aware to this hotel shares this property without another hotel which the staffs are constantly at war with eachother. I witnessed an arrest at the hotel, the area is flooded with homeless because the staff only enforces rules on small children, and as mentioned above their word obviously means nothing. Please be aware before you encounter the same issues which my family did.

My family and I arrived at this location on 6.19 in the afternoon. We were excited about the trip because we had visited this location in the past and were a custom to the fun and amenities in the area. However, this time when we arrived, we were advised that our 3 bedroom unit was overbooked. They accommodated us with a 2 bedroom unit and 2 free nights. We were responsible for moving our selves into a new 3 bedroom unit around noon during the middle of our trip. When they made these accommodations we thought take the good with the bad. Thank you for the 2 free nights and we'll make the best of it. Fast forward to today. I am still fighting with Ocean Walk for the refund of our trip. We booked through Extra Holidays, the preferred method of booking by Ocean Walk. I called them to obtain a receipt of our stay; during the call, I pulled up the receipt and it showed we were charged for the 2 nights we were to have free. Extra Holiday said sorry, your account has no notifications of this agreement and they have no email from Ocean Walk discussing it. They instructed me to contact Ocean Walk to request a new email for the refund. I have spoke with a number of different people and managers at Ocean Walk stating they will do all they can to help. They all stated they see the notes in the system and will resend the appropriate emails. The refund should be processed in 10 business days. I have had no further communication since July 3rd despite my many emails and phone calls in an effort to obtain an update. At this point I am discussed. I have never posted a google review so this isn't the norm for me. These 2 organizations have clearly made a mistake; they are not standing by their word and apparently will not. I pray that you never receive the same treatment as we have. As for the future, my family will never stay at Ocean Walk Resort again, nor will I book through Extra Holidays.

We booked unit 1601 last month and recently found out a family member has cancer and will need surgery so we can't take the trip. We requested a deposit refund and the unit owner refused our request. The trip is months away and they still said no. Buyer beware of unit 1601. If they are this inconsiderate I would look elsewhere and recommend that you find another owner to rent from

Found a dried up bed bug and stain on the comforter. Someone came to “inspect” while we were gone and did not see it. We had to call the front desk multiple times. Our sheets were not changed. Eventually we got just 1 single flat sheet to cover ourself for the night. We never got another clean comforter and the old dirty comforter with the bed bug and stain was left in our room. Very disappointing experience.

They take their bitter sweet time to get you checked for the price, that's for sure... but then have all day to talk about timeshares. But hey; common sense isn't a tool for idiots. That defintently applies to most of the employees here. Can't fix stupid. 🫡Also, whoever designed the check-in area out front must eat dirt or something. Absolutely nowhere to park while you're checking in. Like I said... can't fix stupid.

By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. They first cannot accommodate me in a room I already paid in full for. Then they only give me 1 parking space for a room that sleeps 8+ people. It's 5pm we are trying to check in and our room is not available until 7:30pm! Also when trying to get coffee they do not provide coffee to our specific room number. And when trying to check in they tried to over charge me by me paying again for a room I already paid in full for.Worst experience ever not looking forward for the rest of my stay here until Tuesday.

We love this location as owners. What we didn't like this time is some of the service people were rude. They wouldn't let you have your drinks on the edge of the pool. Customer service a lot of them ignored you. We never got a text that the room was ready and when we asked them ro check we were told they have until 4pm . We said we know but just wanted make sure and it had been ready for some time. The thing I hate the most is all the kids hanging out in the hot tub. Hot tubs are for adult relaxing. Small kids swimming in it, peeing in it , eating in it, and teenagers spitting in it. They don't chase them out even though it says on the sign and no parent enforcing it with their kids. The south side does wyndham doesn't. Other than that it's great.

Just returned from Fall Break. This is a tough review to write as I've been coming here with our family for almost 10 years. It's always been our favorite place.We checked in around 11PM and the front desk person had gone home for the day so security did a temporary check-in that expired at 10AM the next morning. We had to check-in again early the next day. Small hiccup but annoying.The property has definitely gone through some decline. There used to be a large kids area down in the lower level with an activities room with daily activity for kids, a play room for toddlers, and a huge arcade. That is replaced with sadly the main focus: Timeshare sales. They did take a fraction of the arcade up a few floors. The once bar area downstairs has been remodeled but was never opened. There is a decent little food spot downstairs but they close early. All drinks and food are to be purchased outside at the poolside bar.I'll be honest and share some Pro's: Great location, great pool area, friendly bar staff poolside, access to the beach. The property focuses so much on timeshare and that is where they devote most of their money AND staff. There are also privately owned condos at this property which are not maintained very well, and we found out by staying in one this trip. The light in the bathroom was out, microwave rusted, curtains broke, garbage disposal broke, bathtub stained... it was numerous. BUT the worst part was that the beds were awful! I think they were the original mattresses. Nothing but old springs and they were sunken in the middle. My husband had to sleep on the couch. We eventually checked out early. We communicated this all to our owner (through Airbnb), but she said it was highly discounted room already. We spent $1400+ for 5 days.We also were used to getting towels from the desk downstairs and did so for 3 out of our 5 days. On day 4, my husband was embarrassed and mad because in front of the man who gave us towels all week, the woman said "I'm sorry those are for guests of the Wyndham Resort ONLY." He was instructed to go over to another desk of the privately owned condos and that person said, you have to use towels in your room. You are given different bracelets you are required to always wear on property that distinguishes you from a resort person or a guest of the private owned condos. I went online to see how much summer would be in a Wyndham Resort website and same rooms were about $4,000 for a week. SERIOUSLY!?! Wow. Sadly, my family will have to find another property to spend our time and money next year. Very disappointing. Daytona has been my second home for well over 35 years.

After 30+ years of being a silver VIP Wyndham owner, the last 3 trips- Clearwater, Royal Vista, and Ocena Walk- made it abundantly clear it is time to move on. Open Walk is run down, smells bad, security is rude and ridiculous. Place is dirty, pealing paint and now more like a 1- 2 star resort. We have had enough of the escalating fees and poor value for lower end resort anymore and this resort confirmed this. . If you are considering buying , don't. We will be giving our points away and walking as they are absolutely worthless. It has been nothing but downhill last 5 years. There is a reason these are free on Ebay and many other sites with owners even willing to pay to get rid of them.

Beautiful place, stayed here for the weekend and it was great. the hotel has multiple pools and a lazy river which i spent a good amount of my time in and connects directly to the beach. The food there is really good as well, had the best quesadillas there. Would come back again. The room i stayed in was three rooms and had a patio, kitchen and living space with two bathrooms. There was a patio which gave us the prettiest view of the beach. The resort is also located on this boardwalk that has restaurants and other shops and activities. Additionally, the resort itself holds events everyday other than monday which is cool. There’s a also an indoor pool which hosts movies from time to time which i found interesting. Overall had a great time and would come back again.

Stayed in room 411 for 7 days with 7 people total. The ac stopped working twice, took over 24 hours to fix the second time, was 81° in the condo. Called cindy after 24 hours and she was rude and condescending. The first day we told Cindy that we didn't have remote for 3 of the tv's, never received remotes, having to get up to turn off the tvs at night is super frustrating. The blender was missing a piece and didn't work. The toaster didn't pop, so had to watch toast so it didn't burn. There are NOT basic amenities- we got 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, 3 dish tabs, 2 hotel size shampoo, and 2 small bars of soap to last 7 people 7 days. The one toilet would run until you took the top off and pushed the seal down, shower door doesnt open and close as it should. A good portion of the outlets don't work. Several lights burnt out and light covers falling off. Closet doors wouldn't open, safes don't work. Dryer sounds like a plane taking off and takes 2+ hours to dry a loud. No condiments/seasonings at all. There is an over priced arcade with 5 holes of golf, not even enough clubs for all of us to play. One of the indoor heated pools was definitely not heated. The children's area is for toddlers, the security yells at kids in the pool all day long for having any fun- they basically just want the kids to stand in the pool.

Not the same place I stayed 10 years ago. First off the ladies at the check in desk could care less about the owner rentals. Wouldn't let me checking on time without a fuss, wouldn't let me use a large cart to unload without making me feel like a criminal. And don't bother asking for towels. The Ocean walk Shoppes are also a big disappointment, very dirty not maintained. Needs a new maintenance supervisor. This place was happening years ago. Sad to see it in this condition.

It was exactly what I imagined it to be!!! Customer service was superb and very nice!! The rooms were what I thought they would be as well. Comfortable and spacious enough

Love love love this hotel but the problem is if you want a chair at the pool you’ll have to get up 2 hours early because people wake up at the crack of dawn to claim as many chairs as they can. Do the works do nothing about it. The photo shows a line to get chair 40 minutes before the pool opens

Avoid units 2023 A & B! I paid more here than I have *ever* paid per night for lodging because I wanted to treat my family to what I thought was a special place. Don't make the same mistake!Vacasa, not Wyndham, manages these units. They appear not to have done any maintenance in years (& not much cleaning either). Their photos are deceptive, so I'm sharing some of mine.Reached out to Vacasa on day 2 of 2. They offered to send maintenance but we didn't want to waste our little remaining time waiting for workers who may or may not show. All this should have been fixed in between bookings, not at the expense of the customer's time.Left message for local manager after missing her call, but she never returned my call.

Very nice location and amenities. If you're a sun bather, the beach gets sun all day, but the resort pool sunlight is blocked by the building in the afternoon.

Nice location, but the resort is all about selling timeshare to you. They hound you, and when you say no, they won't respond to you if you have a maintenance need in your unit. The units are old, and they have issues. They say that they have been renovated, but that is evidently untrue. Maybe they tried to fake it by using the 1970's furniture that was cracked and adding new table tops. This is not Wyndham quality. Someone in management needs to look at where the owners' money for maintenance fees are going. Definitely not into this resort!

Great beach and park for families with young kids!! We park about a block or 2 away and walk on the area most drive on the beach. The beach is long and flat, soft sand. Waves were very minimal while we were here. When our kids get hungry we head over to the cute little snack shack in the park. They have almost anything you’d want including homemade Italian ice and milkshakes! We had cheeseburgers and hot dogs and they were tasty. Prices not bad, either. After eating the kids can cool off in the splash pad in the park or play on the playground. Either way it’s a great day and a wonderful way to keep them entertained! Also bonus is bathrooms and showers to wash off.

This was a very nice beach. It was clean, and it was not very crowded, although we went towards the end of the day in October. There was a little splash pad for kids that had jets of water shooting up. The only concern there is to be careful, and to watch kids, as if they run, they could slip and fall. As for the bathrooms, they were fairly clean for a beach.The only major thing I would have to say about here, is be mindful of where the beach entrance is. The only entrance is the beach ramp, as all the other entrances are now closed due to erosion. The main ramp was not hard to find, but for someone who had never been there before, it could be a little confusing.In the afternoon, it is also worth mentioning that the tides can get pretty strong, so I would not recommend taking younger children or inexperienced or weaker swimmers here at that time.Overall, I really enjoyed going to this beach! It was clean, family-friendly, and the waves were pretty good. So far, it is my favorite beach in the area.

We loved this park. The splash pad was great for the kids on a hot day and the playground is nice since it's shaded. No hot equipment for the kids to complain about. Beach access and free parking is definitely nice, as well... We'd definitely return here, if we make future trips to Daytona Beach. 😉

Awesome!! Loved it so much! Able to park, very short walk to the beach to enjoy the waves or lie in the sun...as an alternative-sit in the park under the shade...also a couple areas for kids to play.

It's excellent place for you enjoy a beach day with the family or your friends. There is a free off parking lot and a fantastic kids area with playground and splash pad. The family restrooms are cleaning. There are outdoors grill and many tables in the shaded pavilion.

First off: High tide, so lots of water, narrow strip of beach. Very busy, but lots of fun. The sand is very clean and soft like sand in the Panhandle. Beach is spacious and clean. 2 lifeguards who were very focused. Decent restroom and shower facilities. Nice picnic tables and benches, sail-covered areas. Several grills. Playground includes water splash play fountains. Parking is adequate, but almost didn't find a spot. Only one staircase down to beach. Other one still out of commission, so that one staircase was a little congested. Be careful, as the stairs are narrow and steep.Overall, a beautiful public beach in Daytona.Recommend, and will visit again someday.

This beach has everything you need, parking, shower, restroom and small playground for kids. Picnic benches are there. All are clean and nice. Had a great day with friends.

I absolutely love Andy Romano park it is beautiful and we'll kept. I can't wait for them to fix the stairs to the beach. The hurricane tore the stairs away ... Sadly. But you can still enter the beach to the left 😄 I also got married here 💍 simple and beautiful ❤️

Excellent place to park the ONLY downside is every single walkway to the beach is destroyed and you need to walk down the drive on entrance. I ended up just throwing everything over the seawall and having to walk around and reclaim it. GET THERE EARLY like 7am early or all the FREE parking is GONE. Splash pad restrooms and a playground for the kids and a good sized picnic area. Perfect for a family on a budget just pack smart and enjoy the experience

Nice beach front parking area where you can easily walk to the beach. The front steps are still closed off from being destroyed. Hopefully, they will be restored soon. Other than that, it's nice to be able to walk around or sit and enjoy the breeze and ocean.

This is a great little area to set up at if you want to go to the beach. Outdoor concrete picnic tables and a small splash pad for kids. This is also a dog friendly place.Only four stars because all of the stairs to the beach were closed. We had to walk down to the driving ramp to get onto the beach. Still a very nice area!

Here's a review for the beach park:---Great place to visit! The park is very family-friendly with clean bathrooms and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The only downside is that they are still fixing the ramp from the erosion, which can be a bit inconvenient. Overall, a wonderful spot for a day out with the family. If we get hungry, there is plenty of nice restaurant near by.

Such a great location on the beach. Amenities are great. Handicap accessible. Family and young children friendly with a little jungle gym for the kids. The stairs are under construction so you had to walk to the end of the parking lot to use the ramp but it was very easy to access. Parking was a breeze and it felt very safe with life guard on duty. Would go back.

Very nice park with free parking available. It has a splash pad and playground by the beach. My kids enjoyed the splash pad a lot.The beach in front of the park is busy and it is a no-drive part of the beach. There were many families with kids at the park and the beach.

The waves are powerful and the Beach builds a natural bench of sand you can sit on while having the ocean kiss your feet over and over . Everyone was spaced out enough to actually enjoy the ocean in your own world. The seagulls stick together while drawing their beautiful wings over the water together. Children running and laughing and the waves playing in the background is like a dream I never want to end ❤️

The Park was one of my favorites but needs some serious maintenance. No access to beach by stairs, the are gone and the ramp for handicap hasn't been repaired either. It's been that way for over a year and there are signs stating use the beach ramp to access the beach. You have to pay $20 to drive onto the beach. Also a lot of the canvases that provide shade are missing. Where is all the money that they charge to access the beach going too! Not for maintenance!!!😓

This is a great spot for several reasons. First, if you want to drive and park on the beach the access point is adjacent to this great area for kids and families. 2nd, if you want to have free parking then if you get here early you will find it free. This place is well maintained. Definitely recommend this place.

This is your beach entrance unless you drive your car on the beach and park. Plenty restrooms, ramps to beach are down and closed you have to enter at the North side car entrance, water splash for the kiddos, plenty seating ,limited shade,playground, parking fills fast since it isn't a big parking lot.

Awesome place for a group picnic at the beach. Bring tent / canopy for shades. Well maintained bathrooms and kid play ground. The best part is FREE parking if you get there before the crowd ;)

We absolutely love this park and always go when visiting but it stinks they still don't have the steps to the beach fixed from hurricanesThat's why I give it a 3 star rating, but when they are fixed its a 10 star! Our kids love it, play area and sprinkler area!!

No pets.I came up from the beach labeled dog friendly and there was no signs entering the park. The city attendant who advised me of no pets rule was extremely polite and pleasant about informing me.

My favorite beach in the area. Better than Daytona or Flagler for sure. Keep it clean though, two days ago there was a trashy family throwing their chicken bones in the sand.

I love this park. It is clean, this includes the bathrooms. Has a snack bar, splash pad for the kids and parking is free. Go early for that parking spot.
