4 new restaurants coming to Greenville County Square

Four new restaurants are coming to Greenville County Square in South Carolina. On Thursday, it was announced that Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails, Leo’s Italian Social, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar and MOA Korean Barbeque have signed on to join the 40-acre mixed-use community underway in downtown Greenville. “These restaurants will be exciting additions to Greenville County Square, complementing the current tenant mix and offering the community everything from a quick bite to an unforgettable night out,” said Phil Mays, principal of RocaPoint Partners. “Each tenant signed for the development is purposeful and aligns with our placemaking goals to truly serve the Greenville area. As leasing momentum continues, Greenville County Square is shaping up to be a dynamic, thoughtfully curated mixed-use destination, offering something for everyone.”Here is an overview of each restaurant provided by RocaPoint Partners:Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails "Originally based in California, Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails will make its East Coast debut at Greenville County Square, bringing a taste of home to every table. Centered around the idea of classic home-cooked meals (just like Mama would make), portions are hearty and generous. Guests will encounter a diverse menu offering more than 150 options, including all-day breakfast favorites like the Steak Bennies, Tutt’s Chicken & Waffles, and the famous 32-ounce Bloody Mary, made with the finest garden-fresh ingredients. Plus, with legendary Nightly Happenings, there’s always something to savor with savings. Local moms will be celebrated on the “Mama Wall,” featuring community-sourced images and stories. Mama’s plans to hire approximately 200 employees and will host extensive programming, including Give Back Day partnerships with schools and charitable organizations."Leo’s Italian Social"With locations in Ohio and North Carolina, Leo’s Italian Social is an upscale Italian restaurant opening its first South Carolina location at Greenville County Square. Popular menu items will include Italian street food such as truffle chips and shrimp scampi, and signature Italian dishes including lobster and shrimp pasta, beef carpaccio, lasagna, chicken parmesan, bolognese, wood-fired pizza and more. Leo’s will have a full bar with local beverage options as well as an outdoor patio for those who prefer to dine al fresco."CRÚ Food & Wine Bar"CRÚ Food & Wine Bar is excited to announce the opening of its first location in South Carolina, in the heart of Greenville. Originally founded in Texas, CRÚ has grown to 15 locations across Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Texas. CRÚ offers an accessible and enjoyable way to experience wine tasting, featuring more than 40 wines by the glass and over 300 premium bottles from around the world, catering to every price point. The carefully curated wine list is complemented by a Napa-inspired menu, including charcuterie boards, stone-fired pizzas, Taste & Share appetizers, and full entrée plates. The Greenville location will boast a beautiful al fresco patio and a modern urban interior design, providing the perfect atmosphere for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike."MOA Korean Barbeque"Showcasing an elevated spin on traditional Korean barbeque fare served in a natural, high-end setting, MOA Korean Barbeque (MOA) will open as a 6,200-square-foot restaurant, including space for 200 diners and 30-40 grill tables. In addition to high-quality meats and vegetables that are grilled tableside, the concept will also serve poke bowls, chicken katsu and bibimbap and feature a full bar. The Greenville MOA location will house a dedicated tofu production space to serve patrons house-made tofu daily. MOA currently operates two other locations in Charlotte, North Carolina and Columbia, South Carolina."Overview of the project: The development where these new businesses will go currently houses Greenville County’s newly opened 250,000-square-foot administrative building.Following the opening of the new administrative building, RocaPoint Partners demolished the former Bell Tower Mall, which had most recently housed the county’s government offices. Infrastructure work is ongoing on-site, with fiber and power being moved underground.Last year, RocaPoint Partners announced Pins Mechanical, Fairway Social and Agave Bandido as anchors, joining Whole Foods Market and The Perch Kitchen & Tap.Also coming to the development are William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Sports & Social, The Salty, Ben & Jerry’s and JINYA Ramen Bar.
